My message to Richard: 'Many thanks for the two excellent training sessions with me and our challenging French bulldog! They, together with the detailed email feedback between sessions, are already making a significant improvement to Snoopy's behaviour, and I'm already picking up transferable skills. Can't recommend your services highly enough.' More...

Q&As

I am fascinated by canine behaviour and body language. I aim to establish what is CAUSING a problem in order to rectify and/or modify behaviour. My moto is 'Treat the cause rather than the symptom'.

I started my business through a love of dogs (and all animals) and believe they are entitled to the respect and affection from humans they deserve. The domesticated dog has lived alongside humans for many thousands of years and as such are completely reliant on us. We should not take on this responsibility lightly and must take every step to ensure their full training, what we expect of them and how they can live in our home as a valued family member. Some believe that dogs are pack animals and accordingly will behave appropriately if dominated - nothing is further from the truth and science has tought us that dogs respond and learn through positive reinforcement, encouragement and love!

Having taken early retirement I decided to turn my passion and hobby into an occupation. To date I have achieved four certificates, all passed with distinction. They are 1: You and Your Dog - Centre for Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE), 2: Professional Dog Walker - British College of Canine Studies (BCCS), 3: Dog Law Certificate (BCCS), 4: Introduction to the Principles of Conservation - Compass Education. I am currently a student of the BCCS completing the Diploma in Canine Behaviour & Management. My certificates may be viewed upon request.
