Richard was by far the best supplier for our wedding. We love his photography style, and he produced some wonderful photos that really captured our day. He predominantly shoots documentary style, which meant we barely saw him all day, and yet he seemed to catch everything. At one point we spotted him popping up from behind a bush! As well as documentary shots, he took several 'formal' shots, but he kept it relaxed, making us all laugh the whole time. We ended up with over 800 photos in total, including edits. Beyond that, he made some great suggestions in planning, and his experience of weddings really helped - he seemed to guide the day, which meant we could relax and enjoy it.We couldn't recommend Richard more! Choosing the right photographer to capture your big day is often a rather daunting task. As a wedding videographer myself, this decision was made even more difficult. After critically scrutinising hundreds of potential candidates, we made the decision to have Richard photograph our day and fortunately he was available! What stood out to us about Richard’s work was the raw nature of his shots, how he documents the day and the cinematic nature of his edits. As he states on his website, Richard photographs the day in a very real, unobtrusive way. With the exception of our arranged “posed” group and couple shots, it was easy to forget he was even there. Richard is the upmost professional. We live over 4 hours away from where we were getting married and so we had a phone meeting and one in person prior to our day. It was wonderful to be able to sit down in Richard’s office/ gallery and chat through everything we wanted. Having now received our images back from Richard, we are absolutely delighted. He was able to perfectly capture those special moments in the day, the ones that go by too quickly to realise at the time. We would highly recommend Richard - our pictures are stunning and truly reflect the atmosphere of the day. He is able to capture the moments perfectly without it feeling staged or being too intrusive. So many of our guests couldn’t believe the photos afterwards as they couldn’t remember him even being there. From the first time we met Richard we just knew he was the man for the job. We loved his documentary style of photography rather than the posed shots, meaning everyone could just relax and enjoy themselves and the results are amazing. We couldn't recommend Richard highly enough. We had a fantastic experience with him right from the very beginning to when we received our proofs (on the nicest memory stick ever! ) not long after the wedding. On the day itself all our guests commented on how friendly he was and how discreet - they were amazed at the shots he got of them without knowing! We loved his portfolio when we looked at it initially, and I knew as soon as I met him that he was the right guy for us.In the run up to the wedding he gave us loads of helpful tips about timings and other bits and pieces, and was genuinely interested in what we wanted our day to be like. I think he totally understood what we wanted and us as people and that really helped when it came to being photographed on the day.We hired him and his second photographer, David, and they were both fantastic on the day. We could not be happier with the photographs Richard produced of our wedding in October 2016. The service he provided from start to finish was first class. He was always quick to respond to any email requests that we sent running up to the day, which I think is really important. When it came to the day, he was actually pretty much invisible (in a good way obviously!) he never made us feel like we constantly had a camera in our face, yet managed to capture every beautiful moment of our day, which I thought was incredible! My husband isn't a huge fan of having his photo taken, so this worked really well for us. After the day we only had to wait a few days and we had a USB stick delivered with all of the proofs to see, and a lovely video with some of the best shots of the day. This was just perfect for us as we were dying to see the photographs! James and I would highly recommend Richard to anyone, and can't thank him enough for capturing our wedding day with such gorgeous natural photographs. More...

Richard and David have produced an incredible photo album for us to look back on. They were very discrete on the big day and captured some wonderful natural shots, as well as traditional family photos. When we arrived back from our honeymoon 2 weeks later, we had all the proofs of the photos from the day, plus a very tasteful slideshow of edited photos! This was great to come home to and delayed the wedding blues.We were never pressured into choosing our final photos either. We finally chose them 2 months after the wedding and within 2 weeks we had been sent an initial layout, a second layout with amendments requested by us, and the finished product.My wife and I thoroughly recommend Richard Galloway Photography as they have captured every moment from the day that we wanted to remember, and more! Richard and David have given us truly stunning images from our wedding, the day went in a flash, but the happy memories will be kept alive by their wonderful portrayal of the whole occasion as it unfolded. We arrived back from honeymoon 10 days after the wedding to have our proofs and a slideshow already waiting, which was such a lovely welcome home. We had wonderful feedback not only about their photos but also for the professional manner in which they were taken. They were not invasive, and very considerate of everyone around and blended in with the guests- so well in fact some people had to ask whether we in fact had a professional photographer in which we replied we had two! In the process of choosing the final prints for our album Richard was very helpful and patient with us especially as we took a while! It was easy and stress free with comments for any changes to the album quick and easy. Cannot recommend Richards services highly enough. The documentary style of the photos are amazing and so much better than some of the more normal staged shots you associate with weddings (although the group shots we had were still excellent! ).
