I decided I needed a personal trainer after finishing a 4 week transformation program. I wanted to keep motivated and achieve further weight loss. After looking at several personal trainers I decided on Cobra Health and Fitness because of the nutritional knowledge as well as the high standard of training offered. As a bonus they also do sports massage. I’m so glad I did choose Cobra Health and Fitness. Alex has kept me motivated, pushed me harder than I would ever push myself but within my limits and answered every question I’ve put to him about nutrition. Since training with Cobra Health and Fitness I’ve gained muscle, lost weight, totally changed the way I eat and gained strength. Inline has to be the best fitness centre in the area. The gym equipment is brilliant and there’s lots of variety and the classes are great. There’s a wide variety of classes at great times so everyone can be accommodated. The team are motivational and professional and really know what they’re doing. Had a free taster session with David and was very impressed. 1st time I have had one to one training and was a bit nervous as didn’t know what to expect but David put me at ease and didn’t push me too hard but still tested me at the same time . Definitely helps having someone to guide you and plan the workout around your personal goals . Will be booking a course and can’t wait to see end results More...

One of the best PTs I have come across! Richard is very supportive, motivating and encouraging in all his sessions. He listens to what you want to achieve and tailors the sessions accordingly. I have weekly PTs with Richard and absolutely love them. I have noticed a difference in my strength and fitness. As a runner Richard adds in exercises that will help with my running. He makes the exercises interesting, fun and so you know you’re working hard. He pushes me further than I think I can go and would be able to do on my own. I would definitely recommend Richard! Have been having PT with Richard since April and can honestly say my level of fitness and (shape!!) have changed more than I ever expected. Richard has a professional approach, coupled with a wicked sense of humour, which has kept me going - when I think I can't lift any extra weight or do any more reps he encourages me, tells me I can do it and, more often than not, he is right! (Not to mention the extra weight he slips on when I'm not looking!) Richard Birkett is one of the most determined and committed personal trainers I have ever had the privaledge of working with. His enthusiasm towards others to succeed is motivating and encouraging and his willingness to further his knowledge every day is inspiring. Richard first introduced me to weight training when I was 19 years old and I have been passionate towards this aspect of fitness and exercise ever since. I have since gone on to compete in the UK WBFF female fitness competitions in London and have more future competitions lined up. Richard is one of the most friendliest,helpful inspiring people i have met.he has helped me achieve my goals and targets whilst training with him. he would listen to what "i " wanted to acheive and get me there.even suffering from hamstring injurys before training with richard he would adapt exercises for me so i was still able to perform them correctly and not do any more damage to myself but bulid the muscle back up gradually.he is always positive towards me,always encouraging and pushing me to my limits.i use to say "i cant do this"but after months of training and encouragment from richard i now say "i can do this" you will see results and reach goals with richard.i highly recomend him.i still do my training but would never be where iam in levels of fitness if it wasnt for the help of richard first.one of thee best!! I would highly recommend Richard as a personal trainer he will tailor a programme to suit your need and ability .... Dong expect them to be easy you have to work hard to get the results but it is worth it in the end . .... I certainly would never have made it round Tough Mudder a few years ago without his help and guidance..... My diet has also improved drastically resulting in weight loss and body reshaping ..... At the moment I am doing strength training under his guidance and although I broke my elbow and don't have full movement in my arm he can always come up with an alternative exercise or adapt one to suit so there is no such thing as I Can't Do It !!!!!!!! ...... I've been working with Richard since February/March and he's been absolutely brilliant. He's helped me to understand a lot more in the way of health and nutrition and what works for me personally! I love his boxcerise sessions, my personal training sessions are always well planned, thought out and are of course designed specifically for me!! I have had many personal trainers over the years who have help me achieve my targets and goals but Richard goes that little bit further to help me achieve my dreams. I have a right sided weakness and with the help of Richard and the active glove he has got me lifting weights I never thought I would lift again. Richard is very professional at what he does and has a vast knowledge of all avenues of personal training. He gets you to work to your maximum potential and helps you work to your pre determined goals. Richard is my personal training but most of all a life long friend who I have had pleasure dealing with. I started training with Richard after months of frustration trying group training and classes like Metafit etc and struggling to make headway due to old injuries. Whilst the trainers in those sessions could suggest an alternative exercise, I wasn't solving the underlying problem and the injuries kept being niggled, which meant time off.....and back to square one. Since training with Richard twice a week he has slowly but steadily rebuilt strength in the right muscle groups to support the injured joints though a very structured programme of resistance training. I'm at the point now where I'm lifting weight I never thought I would, I'm getting muscle tone where I have never had muscle tone and I now worry far less about aggravating injuries. No session is ever exactly the same so it never gets boring. Highly recommended - I may be in sight of getting my body back despite two pregnancies and surgery! More...

I have been attending boot camp since January and most recently been part of a six week challenge with Rich. As someone who has always been put off by the thought of attending classes and looking unfit and stupid. I have really enjoyed the experience working out with like minded people and most importantly having a laugh and enjoying the experience.
Had my final weigh in and measurements today and am very happy with the all round results. I'd recommend for anyone looking to make a positive change to their fitness and health. Thanks Rich

I've been doing Richard's bootcamp class since January and love it! I think bootcamp is a harsh word a potentially puts people off as it makes you think of military style training and that's definitely not Richard's style. Richard's classes are challenging and tough but also fun. We are a bunch of like minded people who want to be fit and healthy but have a laugh doing it. I started a six week core and fitness plan with Richard, which included a once a week half hour class, advice, weekly weigh ins, including body fat percentage, and visceral fat, plus at home excercises. And I have been over the moon with my results. I lost pounds and a lot of inches especially around my middle, and really improved my flexibility and my core strength which was exactly what I was after. Richard is a fantastic trainer who knows fitness inside out, and I would highly recommend him as an instructor or as a personal trainer, he has a fantastic approach to getting fit and is passionate about giving people the results they need. Prior to starting the 6 week abs and core challenge, I had hit a brick wall with my weight loss. Richard offered great advice at each weigh in, taking time to understand my diet and what I was trying to achieve. By making some adjustments to breakfast and drinking more water, the pounds started to shed quickly. I always started to focus more on my measurements, %body fat and viscal fat after he explained the importance. I wouldn't have achieved an 8 pound weight loss, 3% reduction in body fat and a loss of around 7 cm from my hips and waist.
From a training point of view, Richard always pushes us to the max despite the class experience and fitness levels. He offers alternative exercises if you are experiencing injuries and keep the classes upbeat, varied and fun.
Totally recommend Richard and I look forward to continuing having him involved in my training and diet.

I have been training with Richard since September 2016. Initially Richard discussed aims/ goals with me and weighed & took measurements. We started training once a week, Richard helped me to look at my diet, made suggestions, and very quickly we had a programme that suited my goals and capabilities. Throughout the months we have constantly re evaluated and changed goals.
To date I have lost 10cms off my waist and lost 1/2 stone. The best change has been that I have a much more balanced approach to food/exercise/ booze, all of which would never have happened without Richards professionalism and support.
I recommend anyone to start training with Richard. There have been many times when i have not ate sensibly, life gets in the way, but with continued exercise I am so much more healthier than September last. Year. Thank you Richard!

I first went to Richard's Rebuild Bootcamps to slim down for my wedding but I enjoyed them so much I kept going and have been going for nearly a year! I went at first on my own which I was nervous about, but after my first session everybody was so friendly and Richard really looked after me that I felt really comfortable and at ease. There's a wide variety of people and fitness levels and Richard looks after us and challenges us individually which gives the bootcamp a personal touch. I go twice a week sometimes three, depending on if I have time - the flexibility is really great. My fitness levels have greatly improved - I feel so much fitter than I did before I started - I couldn't even do one press up before I went and now I do them all the time! Each session really is varied that I never get bored - we do a mixture of HIIT, cardio, weight training, boxing - to name a few - and Richard keeps it fun by playing games and coming up with new challenges. I would thoroughly recommend Richard's bootcamps whether you are super fit or just beginning! More...
