Headshot Photographers

Excellent communication, very accommodating and helpful for what we needed to achieve

4 December 2017

Had a shoot with rebecca while she was still setting up the studio and loved every minute ! Very natural photos and my daughter had a great time. My parents now have a photo of my daughter playing in their favourite flower garden which will be a loved memory as they have since moved house so will always be able to look at the photo and fondly remeber their time there. Thank you ! More...

Q&As

It's a bizarre and sometimes difficult mix of patience and timing. Whether it be waiting for hours for a well-lit landscape and finding the perfect moment to close the shutter, or being able to relax and enjoy a family or group of children's antics and capturing the natural happiness of every joke or mishap, there is no room for quick snapping. Especially with portraits and events, organised and rigid photos simply never have the same joy or feeling as when I take the time to just mingle, enjoy and capture the 'real' moments.

Apart from budget and time/location, of course, I want to understand exactly what they want from the session. Do they want formality, for me to arrange them and suggest good poses and backdrops, or do they simply need me to go with the flow and capture the events of the day in an informal and unscripted way? I'm completely flexible in the way I work and can create a variety of moods through my photos, so a customer who can help me understand the feeling of an occasion and the inspiration or purpose of the shoot is always my best customer. I am there for you, and there to create something that you will treasure - if you have a really detailed idea of the kind of shots you want, then don't hold back. A clear-minded customer is never bossy, in fact they are a welcome instructor.

Memories. From creating a pause-in-time of a mountain's seasonal changes, to capturing a child's joyous face as they open their birthday presents in a moment that can be relived forever, I love nothing more about my job than the feeling of eternity. Moments caught through a lens will be forever unchanged, and no matter what is to come, there will always be photos to remind us of pour favourite aspects of the things we cherish most in life.

The drive to be unhindered by the 9 to 5 and never dictated by employment. Not so much for myself, but because the flexibility of doing what I love, whenever I am able or needed, is visible in my work. Being my own boss means that I am so much more able to provide a service well - because I enjoy it, which is reflected in the quality of my work, and because I am unbound by set work hours or policies. Someone who is able to live and breathe their passion, instead of grappling with doing it as a side job or hobby, can provide flexibility in their services and, quite simply, superior images and a better experience, because they both thrive and survive on their craft.

Apart form being well acclaimed with a diverse portfolio, I like to believe that my clients are sincere when they say they feel so relaxed when they work with me. Although I am 'the professional', I do not take that as a reason to dictate. If a customer has an idea, or would like to 'see how this would look', I'm all ears! I want my photos to reflect you, and I want to you to have fun. Photography sessions aren't cheap, so I want my clients to be the driving force and to let their creativity and ideas flow. I'm not there for me, I'm there for you - these are your memories, and they should be just as perfect as you imagined them.
