Ray Clarke is a very talented man and he always works incredibly hard at reupholstering furniture. He aims to produce the best he can and he always delivers, even if this means taking his time to get it right. His skills are first class and this is reflected in his work. Whether a cushion, chair or footstool he genuinely does craft each piece with love. Over the years I have purchased a footstool and a couple of cushions for myself, and a footstool and a number of cushions for friends and family. Collectively we have all been absolutely delighted with the quality and craftsmanship of the items we have received. Ray did a great job restoring a very moth-eaten 1950's Danish sofa I had acquired. Not only did he come round to view the piece in person, it was really beneficial that he could get a sense of my style and taste and how it could complement my other furnishings. I would thoroughly recommend Ray and his work, I appreciated his creativity so he could advise me of that would work the best but he was extremely professional and always kept me informed about the delivery timescale. Ray put new upholstery on two armchairs and the final product is excellent. I had a decision to make, replace the chairs with new ones or have them reupholstered, albeit for a similar price maybe? Ray reupholstered and rebuilt three seat cushions on an old chesterfield sofa for me as well as upholstering three kitchen stools. I am so happy with the outcome! Ray took the necessary time to match the color and thickness of leather that worked for the original sofa (which was an antique) so that the cushions would match. And they do!
