About

Hi, I'm Pete. I'm creative director at Rare Artist Creative which is a Stamford based
Graphic Design business providing for all your design requirements.

I have many loves in life and Graphic Design is most definitely one of them.
I have been working as a freelancer since 2008, but have been designing professionally since 1999.

Q&As

MY ARTISTIC PROCESS
I'll typically spend a good while researching and developing basic ideas at the beginning of your project.
Beyond this, dependent on your brief, it can take anything between one week to three months to craft your truly bespoke artwork.

DIGITAL DESIGN & ART AT ITS FINEST
The work I create, range from simple graphic stylings to beautifully detailed and cratfed digital paintings.
Often a combination of intrictate CGI and tailored, practical photography, all elements are created by me from scratch.

UNIQUE TO YOU
I'll never use stock photography or any other 3rd party graphics in the creation of your album artwork (unless you request/supply it)
The result being a stunningly rich and powerful piece of conceptual artwork, that's unique to your brand. Concept is key!.

A basic synopsis can sometimes be enough for me to get well underway on your project. Particularly if it's a logo I'm woking on.
If the you don't really know what you want (which happens on occasion) then I'm happy to get on with it, given the vaguest of briefs.
I'll happy supply up to ten dynamic logo designs, with which to choose from. Once settled on a direction, we'll then work together to develop it further until complete.

If the project is a brochure or poster, or a product that requires lots of company based information and components, then obviously, having materials supplied before hand, such as logo's, personnel pictures, body copy etc etc, all help in turning around the project quicker.

At the end of the day, I judge each project on it's own merits. After any years of doing this, I know all too well, that no two jobs are the same, ever!.

I love how each project is essentially a puzzle. One to be worked out and resolved during the course of working on it.
Once the puzzle has been solved, there is nothing better than hearing a client is chuffed to bits with the end result.
Its very very satisfying.

I've worked in offices and studios, and while they have their merits, I really find I work my very best in my own space, without distractions.
I love just beavering away on a clients project with BBC Radio 4 Extra on, keeping me company.

My work is bold, dynamic, sometimes quirky, but always striking, and always original. While I observe industry trends, I'm certainly no slave to them.
Chose me and you'll get something that stands out from the crowd, not merely gets lost in a myriad of look-a-like, paint-by-numbers designs.

Beyond that, you'll be hiring someone who has great skill, backed up by years of industry experience.
My portfolios speak for themselves.
