I am French and i have contacted Zillur for an employment matter. I have contacted many firms before Rahman Lowe Solicitors but they weren't showing professionalism. It means i had to repeat several times the aim of my complain... Zillur has showed incredible skills of registering all the information quickly and writing it accurately . Indeed, i didn't need to spend many hours to explain him my case he understood everything and work in an efficient way!!! Furthermore, as i am french it means i am not native and he has been really helpful and patient to explain me things in a simple way to make me feel confortable. Finally, he is human so you should be patient as well on your side as he has many cases to resolve (it doesn't surprise me as he is very experimented). I appointed Zillur as my solicitor for an employment issue I was experiencing with my company. I had to prepay for his services, which amounted to £450, including VAT, per hour. During this period, Zillur gave priority to other cases and, on numerous occasions, did not respond to calls or emails promptly. Additionally, he would often arrive late to meetings, sometimes up to 20 minutes late. I found this behavior extremely unprofessional, both on the part of the solicitor and the organization. Currently, my former employer has reimbursed a portion of my legal costs related to the employment issue. I am owed a refund from Rahman and Lowe; however, no refund has been processed yet. My advice would be to exercise caution when considering them as your solicitors. They are quick to accept your money and ensure that funds are on account for their services. However, they take months on end to process any reimbursement. In my experience, it has been a frustrating and unsatisfactory engagement. I was lucky to discover Zillur & Kira at RL solicitors early enough during the reorg process that followed the acquisition of my long-term Tech company by a VC. Zillur has provided great advice to help me navigate the blurred line between the personal and legal definition of what fair compensation looked like for someone of my seniority and length of service. Very disappointing experience with Zillur. I've done quite a bit of research to select a right solicitor to help me to sign a legal document. I was expecting that someone with a that many years of experience and reputation would be able to actually explain exactly what I am signing. While some of my questions were answered, most of responses were lacking clarity and depth. No examples were provided. When I was trying to understand a point better, Zilllur's answer was that is a 'standard' clause and there is nothing for me to worry about. I had to raise some questions or concerns based on conversations I had earlier with other professionals, something I would expect my solicitor to bring up and lay out any possible concerns I should be aware about. He was rushing to sign the document as quick as possible, and later stopped responding to my emails all together and without informing me, Kira took on my case. For £600.00 in 45 minutes I was expecting a little more than a glorified reading. At least a basic customer care. Would not use again. P.S. Thanks for your response below. However, at this point I am not interested in investigating this. The service has been provided in October/November 2021. I prefer to keep my name private on public forums as I've signed the agreement not to disclose any information on this matter. After an incident at my former employer, a broker in the City, I required the service of a racial discrimination lawyer, and I approached Rahman Lowe. It also be apparent that victimisation of a whistleblower would also need to be considered, which fortunately for me was also a speciality of Rahman Lowe. As my former employer did not wish to admit liability early on, I had no option but to start a formal claim in the Tribunal Court. Zillur Rahman guided my every step of the process. He was able to advise and takeover all aspects from day 1. His explanation through the legal maze was excellent. This removed a lot of stress at a very difficult time in my life. I did disagree with Zillur on a couple of points regarding overall strategy and his advice on possibly settling at a low amount, or even abandoning the case. However, these disagreements only seemed to make Zillur look even harder to find "the final nail in the coffin" of the other side's case. Whilst explaining what and wouldn't be reasonable in a typical case like this, and how a typical judge would view it, he always worked to my strategy, constantly finding legal argument to strengthen my case in teh direction I wished to pursue. Zillur never ever had the "I wouldn't do that" attitude - it was always "ok, we can go that route, let me formulate the legal case around that. Zillur did a brilliant job, and the case did eventually settle approx 2.5 years after it began, a few weeks prior to the scheduled court listing. The settlement amount was in fact higher than initially requested. I would thoroughly recommend Rahman Lowe, especially Zillur, for any legal advice on employment or HR matters. I worked with Zilliur to review and sign my Settlement Agreement. Plenty of things were picked up and flagged with my employer and which then led to amendments and corrections. I contacted this firm based on the reviews on Google, but I had a very negative experience. I now question the authenticity of these reviews. Zillur took my case and had me pre-pay for his services. He then became very unresponsive. He explained that he was tied up with another big high court claim that kept him out of the office most of the time. I replied that I should not be penalised for the fact that he is busy with other cases, especially after I have prepaid for his services.
