Dec and his team were fantastic. We had a new patio laid with some other landscaping works. They provided a quick and competitive quote, were extremely responsive and reliable throughout. Pete was hired to install a fence and gate.

Before committing to Pete we asked him to confirm he had material available and could commit to a date. When he failed to show up on the day the fence was due to be installed, he used the lack of materials as an excuse. This was also used on two further occasions for leaving the job without completing the work.

Pete sold us on the importance of having a new fence to secure our property. Yet, on both occasions, left our property unsecured, without putting any temporary measures in place, or notifying us of his departure.

When we were away, Pete then broke the temporary gate we installed to gain access, despite us insisting that he call if he needed to enter.

On completion of the work we found a timber gravel board had been damaged during the installation. This should have been replaced at the time as this caused the fence to sag in the middle. It was obvious enough that our neighbours questioned what happened. Pete however dismissed this as an issue.

We also found the gate latch and bolt were misaligned and had been damaged to force them to close. Again this issue was dismissed.

Pete also advised that all waste removal was included in his quote yet, on the day of installation, all green waste attached to the old fence was left behind along with old fence posts and numerous off cuts from the fence materials used to install the new fence.

In addition to this you can’t lean against the fence as the support posts wobble. Pete said that the weather had caused the issue and it couldn’t be done any better. More...

1 star for new fence looks above ground . Below ground minus 10 0 stars. New posts were only just over half the depth required in the ground and the concrete was insufficient to secure the under size length of all the posts. These new fence 6 panels /7 posts was fitted only 2 weeks ago .The whole fence is flopping in the wind and has to be dismantled to fit longer posts by another pro. costing me more than I paid.
