Tom and his team made our garden wedding venue perfect with their stretch tent and beautiful lighting. Prickly Pear were incredibly communicative and were very flexible to our needs after moving our wedding date to 2021 and altering our tent size requirements due to the pandemic. I would recommend Prickly Pear Stretch Tents 100%..for anyone considering having a function, in our case, a wedding reception at home. We decided to cover the garden in as we couldn’t rely on the British weather but in the end the tent acted as a wonderful sun shade as the weather was glorious! Tom and his team erected a stretch tent over our garden. The finished result was more than we could ever of hoped for...AWESOME! They all worked so hard to ensure everything was perfect....the fairy lights set everything off perfectly, they even managed to enclose part of our tree into the tent and decorate the tree too...looked fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. A truly stunning addition to our wedding. The only thing I am not happy about is that they had to take the tents down...we would have loved to have kept the stretch tents as a permanent addition to our garden! We used Prickly Pear for our wedding reception and they provided a fantastic workable space by combining two tents, enabling us to have separate areas for dining and dancing. We received many compliments from guests who were amazed at how well it suited the rural setting, perfectly framed the views and completely fell in to place with our rustic theme. Following inclement weather the day before our wedding, Tom and Amy went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for the day, including making last minute changes. We hired Prickly Pear Stretch Tents for my 40th birthday party and were unbelievably impressed! The tent itself is gorgeous. We (and all of our guests!) thought it looked absolutely brilliant up and it really added to the whole theme of the evening. It stretched around our two silver birch trees with ease and was able to incorporate our patio area and our kids' climbing frame for a bit of a twist and the side stayed open to allow views of the setting sun in the field behind our house. The guys who came to set it all up were really professional and so friendly and accommodating. I really wasn't expecting it to be this good, but I think it really made the party! What do you love most about your job?
Meeting a wide range of different customers and helping them to create a truly magical event.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We wanted to provide a personal service, providing something that we were really passionate about. We love our tents and after seeing them in action out in South Africa we finally decided to bring our business to life.
