We have absolutely loved our experience at perfect pups for over a year now! Obedience classes were a life saver for us first time puppy parents, we no longer have a dog who pulls on the lead during walks while barking at the whole neighbourhood and won't come back when called! All the training has really payed of as now we have a lovely mannered dog and couldn't have being any more proud when Bruno achieved his puppy and bronze award.
Our two young boys also enjoyed their junior classes, learned lots about how to interact and care for dogs in a relaxed, friendly and engaging environment, it has definitely strengthen their bond with Bruno. At the moment we throughly enjoy super hounds and agility classes, they are so much fun and Bruno has learned some very clever and helpful tricks.
Highly recommend our trainer Heather she is very knowledgeable, caring and passionate about dogs and positive reinforcement training.

Best dog trainer that I have ever met. Her methods of dog training are extremely effective and gentle, also useful. As a member of the Junior and puppy classes she makes it easy to train my puppy which is really hard as she is food obsessed! The classes have a really good environment and fun with all the activities like distraction ally and obstacle course. I highly recommend the classes as they are great quality at a great price. Highly recommended. As new pet parents we were overwhelmed when our little poodle cross puppy, Bruno, turned into a little hooligan and always on the go young dog. Heather's help has been invaluable, not only training our dog but also our whole family including our young children on how to interact with and train our dog while having lots of fun. Heather is passionate about dogs and it shows on her methods of training. She alway uses positive reinforcement rewarding dogs with food and toys to achieve the desired behaviour. Never using harsh treatment or intimidation toward dogs. Heather helped us with difficult issues such as pulling on the lead, playing too rough with other dogs and more importantly on his recall. Our dog has improved a lot and is a delight to live with now. Heather is patient, friendly and eager to help and this made us feel at ease during her lessons. We also had the pleasure of meeting her own well trained dogs who are evidence of her experience and high quality teaching. Bruno loves her and always enjoys his training sessions. Would definitely use her services again and highly recommended to anyone who wants to get the best out of their dog to have a happy and balance canine friend for life to be proud of. More...

Q&As

Meeting so many amazing dogs and customers. I am a real dog lover, nothing makes me happier than seeing new pups charging into my class. I start every class by giving each dog a little fuss - i say its so the dogs have said hello so they're not trying to get to me during class but really it's largely because i love getting to know them all.

I've been a dog owner for a long time and worked with animals all my life. Having paused my equine degree when i had my first child i wanted a way to work with animals but in a self employed way so that i could work around my children. So i completed training at the academy of dog behaviour and training and that really inspired me and showed me that a canine career was definitely for me. I definitely made the right decision. I love waking up to emails from my customers asking advice or telling me the amazing things their dogs have been up to. I feel so privileged to do a job which i truly love.

You should choose us as we offer a really unique, fun and very effective way of training from a qualified and experienced trainer. Your dog is guaranteed to love training and being with you. We separate our classes depending on your dogs personality so you know with us if you have an anxious dog they're not going to be in a class with a 40kg bubbly labrador who would make your dogs anxiety worse, equally if you have a high energy dog you know you're going into a class which is designed to redirect that energy with lots of like minded dogs and owners. Everything we teach your dog to do will be of help to you unlike in standard dog training companies where it doesn't matter if your dog already knows how to sit you have to do the sit training exercise. Further more every training game we give you will be easily replicable at home and in public with minimal equipment and maximum fun!

Our confident pups obedience course is suitable for dogs under 6months who've completed the cautious course as well as all other dogs that are high energy and generally confident.
