Oaktree Occasions recently catered for our wedding at Tawstock Court and the whole experience has absolutely exceeded expectations, we could not be happier. Oaktree Occasions catered for a party that we hosted for 100 people in August 2019. They were superb. The food was absolutely delicious, as well as being beautifully presented and served. Even better I was able to feed my family and friends for several days after the party, which was an extra bonus. We have received much positive feedback (particularly on the fish and chips!). We very impressed with Oaktree Occasions’ ability to prepare such a great spread in a relatively small and basic space. They bring all cooking equipment with them, including large cookers. Their professionalism and discretion certainly enhanced the party atmosphere. Our guests also commented on how polite and cheery all the staff were. As if that wasn’t enough they tidied up and vacated the premises without any fuss and left the place spotless. In summary they did a first class job. We booked Dj Boombastic on the recommendation of our wedding venue New Barton Barns, and we were not disappointed. The dance floor was filled the whole night and all our guests enjoyed it, especially when their song requests were played. Through out the run up emails and queries were answered super quickly. Overall we had the best service from the best Dj. We are especially loving the little video clips that have been posted. Memories for us to watch over and over. She was incredibly helpful, resourceful (she has a bank of suppliers that she has worked with and can vouch for), has a keen eye for detail and really made us feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. I would highly highly recommend Oaktree Occasions for your wedding or function. They catered at our wedding in July and nothing was too much trouble for them, the food was absolutely delicious and Caroline, Jo, Katherine and the team of staff were all so helpful and made sure the day ran smoothly. I couldn’t recommend Caroline and Jo and their team enough. We knew as soon as we met with them they would be great and we weren’t disappointed. They are both so efficient, professional and organised, always replying to emails promptly and being extremely flexible when we made changes and additions to our numbers and choices. Their staff were amazing throughout the day and worked tirelessly. Needless to say the food was exceptional and we received so many compliments from our wedding guests, with many saying it was the best wedding food they had ever had, including a chef! I would highly recommend Oaktree occasions. We hired them for our wedding and they were flawless. In fact they were more organised than me and really helped get my organisation on track. They are incredibly professional and helpful. The food was perfect! We were a little unusual in the fact that we only wanted vegetarian food, but Jo and Caroline worked with this to ensure that we had a varied and interesting meal. The food was delicious, a lot of people commented on how nice it was and that meat wasn’t missed at all. I was also very grateful for all the little ways that they helped. Getting married at Coombe Trenchard was one of the best decisions we made! Sarah is the most accommodating host and supported us through out our planning as well as making the day fantastic managing any issues flawlessly. The grounds are simply stunning and all of our guests commented in how much they loved the day and Sarah helped us to orchestrate it exactly how we wanted. I can't explained how beautiful it is but to see it in person you can go to the amazing fire feasts and garden parties which Sarah organises through out the year so you can build up your excitement! Our wedding at Coombe Trenchard was even more spectacular than what we had ever envisioned. Sarah was the perfect host! Not only did she make us feel so at home during our visits where we discussed plans over homemade biscuits and coffee, we were made to feel at ease and were confident all of our fine details and plans were in safe hands. There are so many beautiful aspects of the venue; we were still surprised by the beauty of it all on our wedding day when whisked away by our photographer into the woodland. Our guests were in awe of the venue and loved the surprise reveal of the Coach House. We can't thank you enough. Being able to relax on our wedding day and just soak it all in, was such a gift. Almost a year ago Jon and I were on the hunt for our wedding venue. Coombe Trenchard was the first and only venue we looked at. Our decision was instantly made having driven down the drive and upon meeting Sarah our decision was cemented. A month ago we celebrated our big day, we had the most incredible time. We wanted a country house in Devon not too far away from where we live. Coombe Trenchard ticked all the boxes. It was the most unique and beautiful private venue which flows perfectly for each part of the day. The house, bridal suite, ceremony hall, the gardens, Italian terrace and coach house for the evening boogying, every element was a surprise for the guests!Sarah was incredible and suggested lots of highly recommend suppliers. I work in the organic food industry so it was key to me that we could use our own produce from the farm. Sarah suggested David from Garnish for the food and Sally from Thirst Choice for the bar, they were both truly exceptional and very flexible. Joanna Game from Viridis brought the marquee to life with her stunning arrangements of garden flowers and the marquee from Marldon Marquees to keep our heads dry. All the other suppliers we found ourselves but we highly recommend arranging appointments with Sarah’s carefully curated list. All of Sarah’s planning and experiences made the day run seamlessly. Sarah’s breakfasts and vintage tea party’s are exquisite, a lovely way treat the setup party. Sarah and Philip have the most outstanding venue. Family and friends were made so welcome throughout the day. It felt like home! Everyone has said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and they want to emulate it when they get married. Just a little over a year ago my now husband and I visited Coombe Trenchard after spotting it in Wed magazine. From the moment we drove up the drive to the house we knew we had found the perfect place for our wedding reception. When we were shown around the house and grounds we were wowed! Even though the grounds are spectacular the house instantly makes you feel at home and this is exactly what we wanted for our wedding day: something extra special but something inviting. Emily and Sarah were the dream team. Sarah guided us so much with our planning and especially in the last few months and days before the wedding. So much that we hadn't considered, Sarah took care of or brought to our attention.Our wedding day last month just felt perfect and our reception at Coombe Trenchard was everything we could have hoped for. We truly feel so fortunate to be one of the lucky couples who are able to get married here - it has a very special magic. It's not just a venue, it's a home, and its welcoming atmosphere really sets it apart. Just over a year ago Al & I visited Coombe Trenchard along with a few other venues trying to decide where to celebrate our big day. A couple of weeks ago we had our big day and it was truly perfect.From the first visit at Coombe Trenchard we knew that’s where we wanted to have our Wedding reception. It was the most beautiful and unique venue we had seen and Meeting Sarah confirmed our decision. From the start Sarah has been so helpful and really made all of our dreams possible.Sarah and Phil have the most beautiful venue and made all of our family feel so welcome throughout the day. The different parts to the venue left an element of surprise throughout the day for our guests which they loved. The House, Stunning Gardens, Italian Terrace for Marquee and Coach house for evening shenanigans. We also enjoyed home made pizzas after dark from their outdoor pizza oven, highly recommended!All of Sarah’s planning over the last year and execution on the day was seamless, we would not have wanted our Wedding anywhere else! Coombe Trenchard provided the most perfect setting for our family wedding.Sarah and Philip are both the most amazing hosts and organisers. We are in awe of how much they achieve, how calm they were, how supportive of the wedding couple they were, at every turn. We had this feeling of moving seamlessly from one absolutely gorgeous "event" to the next. There was so much that was so different and yet it melded beautifully into one marriage celebration.... the ceremony and music in the entrance hall, the High Tea in the Sitting Room, games on the lawn, chats and catch-ups under the umbrellas on the Terrace, to the fabulous dinner under the marquee ... and then, what a party in the Coach-house! We would like to make special mention of the High Tea. How delicious was that? Every morsel was 'melt in the mouth’. We received so many comments on the level of service and the attitude of each and all the service providers involved in both the wedding and the post wedding brunch - thank you and congratulations on that too. My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Coombe Trenchard as part of the 'Invitation to View' scheme, having been gifted tickets to tour the house and gardens and to enjoy afternoon tea. Coombe Trenchard is an inspirational venue with so much to explore, and to tour the house with owner Sarah was a real privilege – she is incredibly welcoming and so happy to share stories of Coombe Trenchard's ongoing restoration with guests.Both Sarah and Lorna made us feel really welcome and we were looked after like kings at the gorgeous afternoon tea that followed the tour of the house and gardens, with beautiful cakes and Devonshire scones served on vintage crockery and with fabulous fresh flowers from the garden.If Robin and I weren't already married we would definitely be choosing Coombe Trenchard as our wedding venue! Never mind... perhaps we will be lucky enough to attend a Coombe Trenchard wedding as guests at some point! In the meantime we will definitely be attending this year's English Country Garden Festival at Coombe Trenchard on 2nd & 3rd June.
