Commercial & Corporate Photographers

I worked with James to produce product photos for my new website saroraknots.co.uk. James provided a very professional service, and high quality photos. He has a flexible, and open-minded approach which made working with him a real pleasure. He is very responsive, and has a high standard of work. I would definitely recommend his services, and will look to hire him again for future projects. More...

Q&As

Seeing and doing things differently. Not just taking the obvious shot. Technical ability.

What style of image do you want? (e.g.traditional, distinctive, edgy, "outside the box")
What purpose will they be used for? (e.g. Commemorative, advertising/marketing)
What format are they intended to be seen in? (e.g. Large scale prints, album, digital, web page)
A shoot can generate hundreds of images. Do you want me to send them all to you "as shot" or filtered?

Working with people. getting their feedback on the images I create.
The creative process, especially post processing. A famous landscape photographer called Ansel Adams said "The negative is the score but the print is the performance". I like to explore different ways to get the best possible result from an image, whether it be to simply crop it slightly differently, convert it to black and white or use more advanced techniques to place emphasis on the subject.

I ran my own successfuI IT consultancy for many years. I felt my skill and passion for photography had been self indulgent and unutilised. Hardly anyone ever saw my photos and I wanted to change that.

Running my own IT business for 35 years I understand the need for customer service above all else. I get great personal satisfaction from using my skills to help people and found that if you are good at what you do and look after your customers then you will be successful. I adhere to the adage "Perfect Planning Prevents Poor Performance". Proper preparation for a shoot is key to ensuring the best outcome for the client.
