I've known Anna for years and have been very pleased with her professional manner in which she conducts herself. Not only is she a phenomenal trainer but she has become a very dear friend.

I brought my reactive border collie to Anna about a year ago. My eight-month old border collie at the time hadn't been socialized and was lunging and barking her head off at dogs, strangers, cats, horses, children. .. I was losing my mind... Anna helped calm me down and explained to me what was going on with my pooch. After a lot of hard work, a year later, the dog is doing much better, thank god! She no longer lunges at people or dogs... And we can walk her without any anxiety or fear. Anna was so supportive - even though I only paid her for 6 sessions, she supported me for months via email and explained my dog's behaviour. Now I dream of the day that I will be able to take my dog to Agility or flyball :) One day, one day... Thanks again Anna for your understanding and support! We have a very dog sensitive boy who when our eldest dog passed away became very reactive to other dogs. I sought out Anna and we had one to one training which was great to understand why our boy was reacting the way he was.
After our 6 weeks training we tried the obedience classes which just highlighted his stress being around other dogs when on the lead. After the classes we worked hard with him outdoors and finally we have turned the corner and he is able to interact when out and not show any aggression. He is a different dog again! I dread to think what could of happened if we hadn't had Anna's help. Patience has shown it's virtue with Bentley! Jerry is what you would call reactive and not very good with other dogs. We came a bit late to puppy class but we're now on round 4 or is that 5 of the starter class. Before we joined the class Anna recommended that I bring Jerry for some one to one classes.
I can't recommend Anna enough, she never left me feeling once that I had done anything wrong, it was all about how to work with Jerry and get the best result for him, whilst being realistic. Her assessment was that he was reactive not aggressive but not one of the worst she'd seen, although at times it felt like it. Believe me I know he's never going to be the most sociable of dogs but he has improved so much with Anna that you wouldn't have thought it possible at the start.
Jerry is a work in progress (and may always be) and Anna has never said not to keep bringing him, she is always available to talk to at classes or via email which has helped a lot especially when Jerry's had a "hooligan" day and she is willing to offer advice on the next steps forward. I've always said its about me learning as much or if not more than Jerry and I have never felt nothing but encouragement from Anna even when Jerry's at the back of the class.He is joining in the classes sometimes now, which is all down to Anna's training (of both Jerry and me). So if you think that your dogs too old (they're not) or to bad with other dogs (Hexham has a lovely big hall) or just want to start your puppy socialising correctly then I as I said before I cannot recommend Anna enough. We have done a few classes now ,basic training and agility Daisy loved it,so did I .We are going to give fly ball a go next,every one is very friendly . Anna does a fantastic job ,she understands dogs that's for sure , she's always happy to give you tips no mater how small or big the problem .My dog is a pleasure to own ,which is down to hard work,and great classes. Anna is very professional and been brilliant with my reactive border collie. I love the fact she is qualified in what she does as a lot of trainers are not and this made me feel at ease as she assessed my dog giving me the right information to work on my dog.
