Q&As

People Support is a newly formed business however the services have been run by smaller enterprises for the past 7 years.
People Support is built by people who have been affected by lack of quality care and support and as a result values its self as a quality caring service provider with the outcomes of the individuals always put first.

Cleaning equipment can be provided at additional costs
On day trips we use company cars and are also able to have access to disability cars to reduce the barriers of those with mobility issues.

People Support is all about the people we provide services too. We care about the people and that is why we named the business after people.
We are proud to only hire caring quality staff and strongly believe that we are the best in what we do.

At the age of 9 my gran was diagnosed with terminal cancer and required care for four years.
My gran was a proud lady and would not accept care from any agencies as she didn't trust them.
This meant that my mother became her sole unpaid carer. Looking back until the age of 13 I rarely spent time with my Mum because she was caring for Gran, back and forth to hospitals, appointments and ensuring that she was okay.
This meant that I would regularly be in afterschool club, dropped off at school early and friends houses.
At times we would go to hospital appointments with Gran and being a child I would be busy which would stress Gran and Mum out more.
As a result it has been my aim to try and reduce these barriers and provide a quality, trusting caring services to individuals to reduce barriers and ensure that all individuals have access to the support that they require.
I have experience of setting up and managing
- Drop in Centres
- Housing Support Services
- Care Services
- Employment Support Services

As a result I decided to use these skills to build a business around my values and overcome the barriers of other organizations.

Cleaning calls are vital to our business. We provide cleaning services as a tool to reduce travelling between care calls. This allows us to overcome barriers of long travelling times between calls and allows us to meet another need of the community when living in rural areas such as Powys or Shropshire.

Our day trips are a great way to go out with support.
We can provide one to one day trips for those who require one to one support or group day trips.

When providing one to one support we will work with the individual to decide where they want to go and what activities they would like to carry out. One of our caring staff will then be allocated and individuals can maintain their independence within the community.

This service can be access by a range of individuals such as older people, individuals with learning disabilities or mental health or those who are anxious to go out alone.

We also provide group days out. We collect information from individuals and match groups by their interests. A support worker will be allocated, individuals will be collected and dropped off from their home by a support worker.

Please note the group service is up to 4 individuals per 1 support worker. In the event someone may also require 121 support please speak to our team to arrange this.
