Piano Lessons

If there was an option for more than 5 stars, I would click it without hesitation ! He is so dedicated, passionate, and teaches with the desire to watch his students be the best they can be. It is a pleasure to watch my daughter enjoy playing the piano more, because of his brilliant ideas and his ability to make the lessons feel like fun rather than a chore. She recently received her results for Grade 6, and got a distinction, all thanks to Will !! I definitely recommend players on all stages and skill levels to start lessons with Will, because you’ll see a marked improvement. More...

Piano Lessons

Will was very welcoming and explored with me what I was hoping to achieve having lessons. He then told me a bit about himself and how we would do an initial lesson in order for me to ascertain if this was what I wanted to do and about possibly proceeding with other lessons.
My initial lesson was taxing however, enjoyable. Will was very patient and encouraging as at times I became quite frustrated. He gave me praise following my lesson which helped me in validating my efforts. I am looking forward to future lessons and am confident I will master this with Will's help.

I played the piano and passed my grade 8 when I was at school. After leaving, I lost the passion for it and keeping it up alongside my job became more effort that I felt it was worth at the time. I ended up hardly playing at all for almost 12 years until I made it my New Years resolution 2 years ago to start playing again. I was an advanced player when I was younger but had forgotten a huge amount and lost a lot of confidence. Will didn’t pressure me to get back to where I was right away and took time to build up my technique again. I am now a better player than I ever was and play all the music I want to. Will has not only taught me how to play certain pieces but more importantly how to learn those pieces independently and add a level of finesse that I previously would not have considered. I have an hour with Will a week and am learning to play the themes from my favourite film scores. Its clear how much Will loves the piano and his passion for it has rubbed off on me. More...

Will got me through my grade 8 piano, and not just through it but with distinction!! He was so calm and had so many amazing ideas and practice tricks - and I’m sure he has plenty more for all abilities as he was at a prestigious music school from the age of 11 and has won numerous competitions. If you want a dedicated, fun and extremely talented teacher look no further. 100% couldn’t recommend more. More...

Will is amazing! He has been teaching me for 3 years now and I just achieved my grade 6 receiving top marks! He is patient but strict and really pushes me to be the best musician I can. He has made a confident and stylistic pianist and I love Piano. I still have some work to do but I hope to attend Juilliard when I'm ready to audition in 4years. I know Will can help get me there!!!! Q&As

I love sharing my knowledge and passion alongside meeting new people from across the Globe. I am proud to say that my studio consists of multiple people (beginner to advanced) from the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. With help from my particular teaching method, I am able to watch students grow and play to the best of their ability. Each student is treated as an individual and the learning process is tailored to the student’s ability and needs.

I was lucky enough to find my piano teacher, who even today I'll see for a catch up and a lesson once a year. However, it took many years and many teachers to find the one that really worked for me. When I started teaching seven years ago, I vowed to do my absolute best to not let students go through the trials of finding the teacher that works for them. So many teachers are stuck in their own bubble. I offer a very particular teaching method, however I pride myself on that method being extremely malleable; allowing it to be applied to any student, in whatever genre.

I have two priorities; 1. always making progress and achieving a goal (whatever goal that may be) and 2. having fun! It's extremely important to me that my students can find a real love for the instrument and enjoy the process of learning. With my method and my method of practice, I'm certain students will achieve the greatest results.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, I am only teaching online via Zoom. Since I made the switch in March 2020, students have been thoroughly enjoying my online approach and my exam distinction results have in fact, increased.

All lessons are taught online via zoom, allowing risk free learning.

Services

I offer Piano/Keyboard lessons from beginners to advanced - in any genre. My priority is steering students in the best possible direction in whatever it is that they wish to study.

Some of my past students gave gone on to study at world leading music institutions such as the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Manhattan School of Music.

I have been teaching Music Theory for seven years now, and love to do so. Music Theory is a critical part of a musician's training no matter your preferred genre. I often say there is a bar, and in order to jump over that bar and really achieve greatness in the music world; music theory must be learnt!

I offer Music Theory catered to whatever country you may be from, but I also offer training for the ABRSM Theory exams from Grades 1-8.
