How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
check for cross members spanning through the loft space like a W these tend to be money pits to try to convert and are not designed with that in mind, height is also a good indicator remember you will need a good 2m head height from new floor to cover building regs. look at where your staircase is going to go will it fit, will it lead to an area in the loft space to offer you that height
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
first and foremost id building control they will need to be an integral part of the project (costs involved are around £300-£400 so allow this in your budget) then the flooring and any structural steelwork that may need to go in, followed by first fix plumbing and electrics, then the finishing trades before handover
How long have you been in business?
5 years however I was apprenticed through the leeds collage of building (distinction) and offer over 20 years in the industry

all our roofs come with a standard 15 year guarantee
What do you love most about your job?
My family is a building one and go back generations as such it runs in our blood, I particularly like refurbishing old buildings, the character and history realy do set these jobs apart form the run of the mill projects
What inspired you to start your own business?
natural progression, and a keen eye for detail. I have a passion for project management within construction and I feel I offer something more to your general builder
