I have just had the privilege of attending a 2 day AAT course hosted by Sharon and her amazing team. I work at a special needs school and College for students aged 11-25 with Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, complex medical needs and Autism. I was eager to understand more about the ways animal assisted therapy could be used in our school and college to enhance our students learning and therapeutic experiences. Day 1 covered the theory behind AAT whilst also giving me the opportunity to work hands on with a range of amazing animals including dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice and a wonderful bearded dragon named Merlin. I came away excited about how our students could benefit from engaging with animals also. Day 2 - Wow Sharon and her team brought the animals over to our school. I introduced her to some of our most challenging and complex students, many of whom struggle to engage in the world around them. Amazingly, Sharon, her team and even the animals were in no way phased. Right before my eyes I watched each of our students react to the animals in their own unique way. For some this was just to simply stand and watch from a distance, others enjoyed hiding treats for moose the King Charles Spaniel, some enjoyed grooming the rabbits and others sat cuddling the guinea pigs and rats. I would like to thank the whole team at Noah’s A.R.T for the fantastic work that they do and also to use this opportunity to raise their profile. If anyone else is interested in finding out more about the incredible benefits of working with animals I cannot recommend this amazing team highly enough. And as for me, I can’t wait to put my training into practice now, as we, as a school, develop the addition of animal care and therapy into our school and college curriculum. More...

What a wonderful place! Staff were so welcoming and friendly and completely put us at ease. The animals are adorable and there is a great variety; dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and even a lizard! We attended a 1-1 therapy session with our animal mad son who has autism. The staff were great with him and he loved the animals. We will definitely be back! More...

I cannot express how incredible my experience with Noah’s A.R.T. has been. I’m genuinely looking forward to working with them again. Running a Mental Health Awareness Day at work has been incredibly challenging, with a lot of red tape to break through, arranging for animals to be at at workplace; but Sharon at Noah’s A.R.T. made it SO easy for us. She was well-equipped with all the right documentation, she was extremely prompt at replying on emails and went above and beyond to meet our requirements and expectations. Health & Safety were more than happy to sign it off because Sharon’s expertise ticked all the boxes. In terms of value for money, it’s phenomenal, which makes it a no-brainer to go ahead with them now and again in the future. The day itself was glorious; the animals were well behaved (and VERY cute!). It helps that the weather was lovely too, but even if it was raining cats and dogs (pun intended), I’m confident it still would have been a massive success. The helpers Alana, Catherine and Philip were just fabulous and helped nervous employees interact with the animals with confidence. There were little games and challenges for them to participate in, they could feed the animals, it was just brilliant. Due to the nature of our work, we had to set time slots for employees to attend; in the full hour overall, hands down, every single employee had the biggest smile on their face for the rest of the day. Pet therapy is scientifically proven and I’ve witnessed it first hand too – It was such a fantastic experience and I genuinely can’t wait to arrange the next visit. Due to our limited budget, we managed to get a little thank-you present for the helpers; this was equally well received and I just wish it could be more because they definitely deserve it. The professionalism, hard work, uniqueness, and engagement of all the staff at Noah’s A.R.T. has been second to none and I can’t speak highly enough of them. Thanks again so much for making our Mental Health Awareness Day a very special one. Keep up the incredible work!x More...

Great place to visit, made to feel very welcome, love seeing the animals, there is an art room, and sensory/ quiet room as well as a room for coffee and cake and to meet the dogs. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and would suit a wide range of people whether seeking help, companionship, to do some artwork, have a sing song, or just visit for a brew and cake. Well worth a visit. More...

I called in today with my son and my daughter on our way home. We only popped by for a nosey and a cheeky stroke of the doggies. We were instantly welcomed in by al the friendly volunteers. They instantly took to my daughter who has severe complex needs and sensory issues. They even game her a live performances her favourite song. We were offered cakes and drinks and made to feel so welcome. I shall be paying another visit very soon. Anyone who has a dog who wants to socialise, or even if you don’t, it’s a great little place for people like myself who struggle to do much with our little girl. More...

I recently started attending Animal Therapy at Noah' s Art for my son who has ASD, he really struggles socially but has a real passion for animals. We had a great session and he didn't stop smiling. The animals were just lovely and the staff could not do enough :) Great experience, and a great way of meeting new people a long the way. A wonderful organisation all around, I can't praise them enough, such a lovely way of making a big difference in someone's life. Thankyou Noah's A.R.T More...
