Nina and the Tailstars

Absolutely phenomenal experience working with Nina, finding her completely changed our lives and our puppies life for the better. I shudder to think what situation we would be in without her help.

Nina is so knowledgeable, her passion for helping you understand your dog is infectious, she is professional and approachable - she makes everything easy to digest so you don’t get confused and she is always on hand if you need her.

If you practise what Nina tells you and follow her instructions you will have a really well behaved and happy dog.

Our puppy truly loves Nina, I would recommend working with her to anyone. She’s worth her weight in gold and more.

We had five sessions with Nina to train our little pup and she was absolutely amazing with him!
Her training showed us how to educate our dog longterm and sustainably.
Even though our dog is now in his 'teenage years', Ninas training is still effective.

Nina is very approachable and is great with dogs.

We adopted a very nervous rescue greyhound who became very distressed when he encountered other dogs - we could not take him for a single walk without him becoming very upset, barking and shaking - it was heartbreaking. Nina worked so lovingly with him and really brought him out of his shell, he’s obviously very much in love with her for it! More than that she worked with us to better understand how to coach him to confidence on our walks and home trainings, and I’m sure without her guidance we’d really have struggled to keep our hound, who is now a well-adjusted and much adored part of the family. Nina is very knowledgeable and seems a great dog trainer, can’t wait to start!

Nina looked after our two cats while we were away for a week recently. From the first visit we knew they'd be in good hands; Nina's genuine love for and understanding of animals came through immediately.

Our cats are attention-seekers who love affection so they needed someone who'd spend a lot of time with them. Nina certainly delivered — every day while we were away she sent us pictures and videos of them chilling, playing, snuggling and generally having the time of their lives.

Nina helped us with training for our puppy Otis for 3months. She was so amazing with Otis and he really enjoyed each session. She helped us with the basics to allow us to continue training independently and managed to overcome his separation anxiety. Would definitely recommend Nina 😊 More...

Nina has been training our rescue dog Lisa since October and we have noticed a huge improvement in her recall. She came from a shelter in Crete and Nina has even got her doing some basic tricks which is great for her concentration and keeping her mind healthy. I'd highly recommend :)

My dog Lisa loves Nina! I got my dog from a shelter. She is middle aged already so I thought it would be more difficult to train her that a puppy but she has been doing really great. She has learnt lots of tricks with Nina and her dog walking has gotten much better in a small amount of time. We initially contacted Nina to help us train our shih tzu, Ralph. We had had a trainer previously and he gave some useful tips but wasn’t very good at actually showing us what to do.

Nina was recommended to us by a friend so we started having regular sessions. Ralph’s behaviour started to improve immediately and continued to progress over the next few months.

Nina is great and we would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn how to properly train their dog!

We now don’t need sessions as regularly but we will definitely continue to have occasional top up sessions going forward!

Nina is marvellous! She has been working with our 9 month old dachshund for a couple of months now and we have seen vast improvements in her behaviour.

Ahead of starting any sessions Nina took the time to get to know us and our dog, particularly to assess what we would like to get out of the sessions and how best to get through to the pup. This really put my mind at ease, as I was so unsure of the bigger companies who have set lessons - no two dogs are the same and mine will definitely need more than one lesson to learn!

She has been utterly brilliant at building the foundation of training with our dog, and enabling us to continue the teaching. I really can't recommend Nina enough, I don't know what we'd do without her! More...

Nina has been training my English Bulldog for a while and I can't thank her enough. She was amazing and now I have a well behaved and a stubbourn dog that actually listens.

Nina is so attentive and skilled at what she does! She got my 10 month old, leash-pulling, leash aggressive puppy to walk calmly on lead and chill out around other dogs. A lifesaver!

Nina is the one! She's been walking and training our 1-year old Cocker Spaniel Frida for several months now and is the highlight of her day. She's super responsive, lovely to chat to, and the dog loves their time together. All you could ask for. She's enthusiastic and you can feel how much she loves what she does.

Nina was great from the first email correspondence. She came to meet me and my cat before she cat sat and sent daily pictures and updates. She went above and beyond (even bringing me parcels in while I was away). My plans changed last minute which meant I was away longer than originally planned and agreed but Nina was an absolute life saver. She even left a Christmas card and lots of cat treats for when I returned. Would highly recommend and can't imagine asking anyone else to cat sit in future. More...

I can not recommend Nina enough. Nina has found her calling in loving and caring for our furry family members. Nina cares for our cat Tiffany who races to the door and meows when she hears Nina arrive. Whilst we are currently work from home (covid) we wanted Tiffany to get used to a cat sitter for when we return to work - we couldn't have found a better sitter than Nina.
Nina takes her for a walk (harness), plays with her then finishes off with a brush - all done with lots of love. Nina also very intune with Tiffany - if she doesn't want to walk, she play with her, or if she wants to spend an hour outside sniffing a leaf, Nina patiently stands around with her.
Nina has also stayed over night both caring for our house and Tiffany.
Nina is kind, professional, punctual (if anything stays longer than needed) and dedicated to our fury friends.
You will be lucky to have Nina.

Nina has been walking our goldendoodle, Beaumont, since the beginning of 2020. I really appreciate that Nina has taken the time to get to know Beaumont’s personality and understand his energy. When I see them interact, she gives him 120% of her love and attention and he just adores her. I am also grateful for Nina’s communication, always checking in to make sure the schedule is still ok and providing me with a summary of her time with Beaumont as well as beautiful pictures! More...

As soon as I met Nina I liked her personality. Bertie my Border Terrier has taken to Nina and loves his walks. His behaviour has improved too. He is much more polite now.

Nina is a cat whisperer. She took care of my two young cats for few days, and I could tell she was really spending quality time with them - they seemed to not be distressed by my absence too much! I definitely recommend Nina.
