I booked DJ Stew from Night City Sounds, very last minute for my husbands surprise 60th Birthday. He didn't dissapoint, communication was great, he even phoned me from his holiday!
!! He'd previously performed at our venue so was happy to let himself in and set up without me being there.
He had everyone up dancing the night away. Would highly recommend.

Stewart was very helpful with emails prior to the event, everything was organised and didn’t need any stressing about. When he arrived he was in time, set up without anyone noticing. Played all the music from our playlist, requests and read the room perfectly for what was wanted! Good speakers, light set up and smoke! Don’t have any complaints whatsoever made it an amazing night! DJ Stew did a fantastic job with our wedding. We didn't want 'traditional' reception songs and Stew kept to the brief perfectly. He played a lot of songs that were requested so everyone got to hear something they love. Of course he did play some 'traditional' songs thst got the guests up and dancing. From the get go Stu was easy to contact and quick back to awnser any questions we had. We upgraded to the gold package which included a light show which really set the atmosphere and created a proper party vibe.
I gave some songs to Stu to play which he did and added some of his own bits in too. We danced our socks off all night long!
The only downside was when he stopped!

We Booked Night City Sounds last week for my 80s themed 40th Birthday. Stew is nothing less than fantastic! The party was amazing, hearing the sounds of the 80s got everyone up dancing.

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Keeping a close eye on the crowd and their reactions to tunes, asking for requests and keeping the tempo going with appropriate breaks as not many will dance all night. Playing for all ages and knowing what works on a dancefloor is successful most of the time. When it's not then not being afraid to quickly change it.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I'm an open format DJ who will play what works. I'm comfortable playing most genres and have hosted parties where Dancehall, Afrobeats, Latin, DNB, Brazilian, Rumanian have been a large part of the celebration.
My favourite genres are Dance/EDM, RNB, Soul, Funk, Reggae and more. I'm a friendly DJ looking to encourage as many people to the dance floor as possible. I'm comfortable on the mic, without over using it, and I can mix as well.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing people enjoying themselves, meeting new people and playing great music (old and new).
What inspired you to start your own business?
I enjoy a party with good music, running my own mobile disco means if people are enjoying themselves and dancing then I'm happy too. If I look like I'm enjoying myself it's infectious and encourages others to let their hair down, it's a party where people should 'dance like nobody's watching, and sing like nobody's listening'. I'm there to encourage a great party vibe and make everyone feel comfortable, relaxed and in the party mood.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because they can trust me to deliver the best show I possibly can each time. Professional quality sound system and lightshow. I am self employed so I can ensure I am at the venue in plenty of time before the music starts on whatever day of the week. I am always up to date with my music and I will work with my client to ensure both an enjoyable and memorable experience.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Safe practices would be employed should social distancing return, hopefully it never does! (October 2023).

I use a Bose professional sound system that delivers a clear high quality sound that will fill the room. A range of ADDITIONAL spectacular lighting effects along with all of the above will help create a memorable celebration for you and your guests (where venues allow haze/fog will be used to further enhance my light show), PLUS currently 8 x uplighters will add to the ambience/mood in the room with static or changing colours projecting an led light up the wall.
UTLIMATE package from £475 (up to 5 hrs)
