Wow!! What an amazing wedding day we had on 13/07/19. The venue speaks for itself it’s absolutely stunning but what really makes it is Sandra. Nothing is too much trouble, she’s kind, polite and so very diligent. We had simply the BEST day surrounded by everyone we love, and Sandra was there from start to finish making sure it all went to plan- it was perfect. OUT OF THIS WORLD, PERFECTION! We held our wedding here in September 2018. It was amazing! We have only just about come back down to earth hence the late posted review! George (The owner) and Sandra (Organiser of events for New House), went to the end of the world and back to make our day special. George was fantastic and even helped my 102 year old grandad to get round to the front of the house, taking him in his field mule! (see photo)! Sandra was superb from start to finish from when we booked the wedding until we left, following the wedding. Giving us tips and hints. contacts numbers etc. On the day she was there as the perfect host, helping with guests, setting up of drinks, chairs, order of service, greeting etc. We were lucky with the weather and chose to marry in the gorgeous Orangery,outside in the grounds. However, on saying that, had the weather been bad, we were just as happy to marry in the drawing room, which is equally as gorgeous. It's also perfect that you can have a beautiful room and bathroom for the bride and her entourage! to use to get ready. The rustic charm of this house and the fact that it is privately owned rather than a hotel, gave our wedding the feel of romance, warmth and belonging. So many of our guests commented on how perfect it was and the best wedding venue they had ever been to. We wouldn't have changed a single thing from the house and its decor, the grounds and beautiful lake, to the organisation and warmth of George and Sandra. We would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful country house as a wedding venue or to host a party, or event. It is unique and has a very special ambience and feeling to it that you don't find very often. Thanks again to George and Sandra for helping us have the perfect wedding day. We really can't say enough good and positive things and feel blessed to have been married here and now have amazing memories to treasure.
