Screen repair, resulted in a touchscreen that did not work the following day. Changed my screen to a LCD screen rather than OLED- advised by the apple shop.
Screen did not fit the phone and wobbled. I returned the screen via ‘signed for’ Royal Mail, but Manager Mohammed told me that the screen worked fine and tried to negotiate a refund amount. Later to find out by Royal Mail that the screen had not even been delivered as the address had a different business name on their system, of geeks warehouse (seems he has an eBay shop too). Well so much for the screen working fine.
And as if I did try and ask for a full refund, his behaviour was hostile, manipulative, threatening and not an ounce of integrity. And a phone-call I will never forget.
The whole experience has been so shady, and refund has been refused. Horrible experience, with a bit of fraud and tax evasion thrown in.

Been in here for a few repairs and tech favours. These guys are absolutely brilliant! They really do their best to get any repairs done as quickly and as cheaply as possible, and are friendly too. I cannot rate this place highly enough. They are amazing. Efficient, customer focused and high quality workmanship. They fixed my phone screen quickly and efficiently. Brought my phone to them 11am on Saturday morning and hoped to have or back early the following week. This is a great place for repairs. Didn't charge me anythithing when my phone failed to download replacemet software - another shop was going to charge me £40 to just look! Been here twice now - friendly, knowledgeable, and good value. First time was after I dropped my iPhone, smashing the case and leaving it with a black screen.
They fixed it cheaply and quickly, calling me before proceeding once they'd uncovered the problem, to check I was happy to go ahead.
Second time was when my laptop stopped charging. (Initially I went to Simplyfixit round the corner, who worked out it was the charger. But they didn't have the right replacement, couldn't tell me where I could get one or what the right one was and told me if I wanted to leave it with them to charge the battery to back up my files it would be £79.) Netversal checked the charger, and immediately picked out the correct replacement off their shelves. It was significantly cheaper than the chargers in the other place too.

Due to... circumstances, I've been at Netversal twice in the past two weeks to replace the screen on my phone. I've seen these guys around for years, but have never been quite sure about them. On the one hand, they're very central on South Bridge, but on the other... They look kinda skeezy. Like a 90s independent computer store in the outskirts of town. Lots of off-brand computer/ phone accessories and a very disorganised sales area means that it looks... Hm. It looks a bit disreputable, I guess is the only way I can put it.However, SimplyFixit didn't have the parts needed for my repair when I was in town and Netversal were 20 quid cheaper for my screen fix. So I went for it! They were adamant that I wouldn't need to back up my phone for this repair, which is nice. They were also adamant that they needed me to give them the pin code for my phone. I was a bit dubious about this, as obviously they'll then have access to all my photos, all my online accounts, etc. The owner pointed out that they've been on South Bridge for years and that this should instill me with SOME level of comfort that they will not be abusing my details. With some reservations, I decided to let it go. They do need the pin code to test the phone after the repair, to make sure everything's working.Anyway, they fixed my phone (twice) and both times it only took them a couple of hours. The second time, I checked in here on Yelp before paying and got a 10% discount on my repair! They seemed a bit confused by this turn of events, so it's possible that this is an old arrangement that they will not be supporting in the future, but it's worth keeping an eye on!Service was absolutely fine, not overly gracious and friendly, but not in any way hostile or unclear. All in all, I can recommend giving these guys a go if you have repairs to do. More...
