I worked with Nerissa for over a year and from the very first vocal lesson I felt like I was finally having fun singing! She showed me how to warm up quickly and then we got right into singing songs that I truly wanted to learn how to sing. Her style of coaching was exactly what I needed to relax, let go and have fun! I’ve worked with many vocal coaches who get you to do boring vocal exercises for the entire lesson, I understand these are important but not for every lesson! Nerissa is a superb teacher and has been teaching my daughter for the past 2 1/2 years. She was 7 when she started singing with Nerissa and has developed very well over the last 2+ years. Nerissa has assisted with exam preparation (just received distinction grade 4 age 9), preparation for school singing competitions and concerts. Not to mention preparation for external auditions for musicals. She has helped my daughter to develop a natural talent into a trained voice. She is now able to control her voice, sing in higher registers and use her breathing well. She has helped her to develop a soulful singing style which fits naturally with her voice. Nerissa is a really great singing teacher. My singing is way better since working with her! I finally have some good technique :-) Her lessons are alway fun and engaging, and she has a really great way of explaining concepts which are quite hard to communicate!

I had singing lessons for two years from Nerissa in Toronto before she moved to London. I was so sad to see her go. Nerissa is a wonderful singing teacher. I always wanted to sing but was far too self conscious. I decided to take the plunge and get some lessons and fortunately found Nerissa. Since working with her I've completely come out of my shell and found my voice! I started going to Nerissa because I felt restricted in my ability to express myself vocally. I wanted new access to my voice and to feel more confident and free vocally.
