I have been seeing Neil 1 to 1 for almost a year now and his approach to mindfulness and wellbeing is grounded and refreshing. He is creative, compassionate and takes great care in his sessions. I’m not familiar being vulnerable with others yet speaking to Neil about intimate issues was easy and welcomed from the start. If you are in a position where you can afford it I strongly recommend any sort of mental health work, especially with someone like Neil. There are number of avenues to find counselling and it is hard to find someone who you can resonate with. Also, given the nature of our society and the individual disconnection to our experience, the struggle to learn how to be mindful is real. This has helped me appreciate how lucky I am to have found Neil. He has gently introduced me to my responsibility to my own wellbeing and has taught me to be patient, curious and above all, compassionate to myself. There are no instant fixes to mental health, it is a lengthy process to which I am so grateful to have Neil help guide me through it. More...

Working with Neil was such a great experience. I was struggling with my mental health, feeling anxious, having relationships problems, and not being able to cope with my emotions and thoughts. Neil uses different mindfulness techniques, which helped me to be more in touch with myself and my body. Talking through some of the issues also helped, along with other techniques that aim to change some patterns of thinking and be more aware of the negative triggers, sensations, and emotions, and learned how to cope with them. At that time, it was hard for me to ask for help and Neil made me feel comfortable and at ease, being able to share problems, something that I wasn't able to do before. More...

Neil is an incredible teacher. He has really helped me to be more calm and appreciative of the little things in life. He has a very caring approach and I always feel very listened to and understood when we talk. He has a great deal to teach and I look forward to learning more from him. I am more positive and present now. I could not recommend him highly enough. More...

Q&As

I love helping people find inner peace after trauma, through deep emotional work, playful reframing, speaking, dance and movement. It gives me so much energy when people report that they accept and love themselves more after our sessions.

I've been obsessed with rock climbing for 20 years and I worked long hours as a Landscape Architect for 10. Throughout all of this I had incredible adventures, but I was avoiding something. Since bullying in secondary school and spinal surgery at seventeen I had been using work and pleasure to distract myself from my underlying emotions, and to avoid my social anxiety.

This all began to change when I tried to meditate. I picked up a basic book, read the instructions and began. As I focused on my bodily sensations I observed frustration, pain, heartache. There was emotion in my body and mind and it was unbearable. Tears streamed down my face and I had to shake on the floor to calm down. I realised then, this was the start of a journey of healing and self-discovery.

My playful approach means the work becomes a joy. My experience in many modalities allows me to take sessions in many ways - from healing to growth. I offer a no BS approach with a money back guarantee if people anything but completely satisfied. My 5 star ratings speak for themselves.

Yes - I work in person or via Zoom. I offer more than most, because my sessions are 1hr and I will email notes to you afterwards.

I work safety with common sense. If I or others feel we are at risk we always work remotely or outside (I meet people in the park!)

Services

Do you need to work on something with the help of an expert listener, coach and counsellor? I can provide a safe setting to delve into where you need to go. My tools are derived from my training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Experiencing and the Playful art of Fooling. I use mindfulness and playfulness to help people overcome from trauma, find inner peace and live the life they love.
