How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Properties usually have an allowance for permitted development, which means you do not require planning permission to proceed with a loft conversion, however if you live in a conservation area, or if, for example, your roof space isn't tall enough, it may be more complicated. You can instruct a surveyor or architect to check this for you.
