MyPetGets Dog Training and Behaviour

After rehoming nelson I realised I will need some help. Nelson pulled like a tank, zig zagged across your path nearly resulting me ending up in a heap on the floor. Jeni have been great supporting us though the early day's which we are still going through. I have owned nelson for a couple of months now. On our first season jeni had shown me on how to deal with nelson pulling on the lead in a positive reinforcement which work staight away. We always come away with homework to do not only does this helps our bonding time it also helps with my confidence with nelson. I look forward to be able to progress with our training. We adopted a deaf american bulldog pup. Had no experience & rang every trainer we could find. We found jeni & never looked back. Very affordable, helpful taught us to teach dottie sign language and that included sit wait stay recall and she is 4 years old now. Has won 10 rosettes & also won fastest recall. She has the best temperament becsuse she was well socialised. Jeni is a kind caring person who uses kind reward techniques in her traibing. I would and have highly recommended her to anyone. Jeni uses a gentle approach when training dogs and you can tell she is dog lover. My dog has improved quite a lot and therefore I will be seeing Jeni to correct some of my dog's behavioural issues too. She is also very down to earth, which definitely hepls a lot :) Thank you, Jeni! More...

Just attended a field 1-2-1 to try out agility for the first time with Marmite the 4 year old Boxer and we loved it! Jeni is really clear with her instructions and patient and had Marmite doing the jumps and tunnel straight away - took a little longer to train me but we had lots of fun! Marmite is now snoozing away dreaming of jumps! :D More...

Started with Jeni September time last year for primarily agility but we have now covered the scent work course too which I highly recommend.
Ernie is a very bouncy Cockapoo but with Jeni's help he is slowly calming down.

Jeni a fantastic trainer. She works to your needs at your pace. We've done a few agility classes where on day one my dog couldn't even focus on me and has now progressed lovely, managing jumps. She's a real natural when it comes to training!

We will be joining her in her scentwork course, we can't wait.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that Jeni continues to grow her vast knowledge of dog training and behaviour.

How I wish we had known Jeni when we first got our beautiful but completely crazy Welsh Sheepdog! We honestly had no idea what we were taking on and tried various other trainers and methods before discovering Jeni at last year's Big Doggy Doo.

Since then I have attended Jeni's basic and intermediate agility classes and self-control classes with Meg and the improvement is fantastic!

Despite my reservations about taking Meg into an indoor class for self-control, Jeni was prepared to take us on and treat Meg as an individual which was wonderful.

Jeni approaches all the sessions with great good humour and is extremely knowledgeable on her subject. She applies her knowledge to each dog separately, seeing their needs (and those of the owners!). There is no question of punishment or harsh treatment of the dogs and I have yet to meet one that doesn't adore Jeni, including mine! There are always lots of waggy tails at Jeni's classes which I think is the best indicator of her skill as a trainer.

I endorse Jeni unreservedly and would thoroughly recommend her classes to anyone who wants a better behaved, happy dog. More...

We recently welcomed our 16 month old Bulldog into our home, and was so pleased to have been recommended to Jeni, I am completely astounded at how easy it was to correct certain behaviours, and learnt so much in our home session with Jeni. I was recently introduced to Jeni as I wanted to do some scentwork with my spaniel. I'm loving the classes. Each class builds on the last and challenges the dogs further. We started with searching boxes/luggage and progressed to doing a vehicle search. I've gone home with a very tired dog after each session! I look forward to attending more sessions to learn more and to give me more ideas of brain work to do away from the classes - extremely useful for a dog who unfortunately has to have reduced exercise due to medical condition. We were recommended Jeni for agility, and have been doing regular puppy/junior agility for about three months. Jeni is excellent at instilling confidence into us owners for what is quite an alien undertaking for most of us novices. The sessions are fun, and even dogs with owners such as myself who don't know left from right, are making huge progress! ;-). I fancied something mentally stimulating to keep my 14 month old boy occupied during the winter, and we enrolled in Jeni's scentwork class in January. . Under Jeni's guidance and with her patience, it is so lovely to see Milo's progress, and to watch the look on his face as you can see him working out what he is meant to be doing, both in the classes, and at home. Jeni never applies a 'one size fits all' training regime: all training is tailored to the individual dog, even in classes with multiple dogs of different breeds, abilities and temperaments. I have come out of every class with a definite sense of achievement and pride in my pup's progress. Milo and me have a close bond, which has only grown stronger with Jeni's training, both in agility and scentwork. Thank you, Jeni, for being patient with us and helping me unlock his potential! Jeni is amazing with both dogs and their humans. She explains everything in a easy to understand way and we always come away with more knowledge and understanding than we went in as well as a big smile.

I first brought Tia to MyPetGets when she was a tiny, 14 weeks old and Saturday mornings fast became our favourite time of the week! I learnt very quickly that more than anything it was me, not Tia that needed training. Jeni was able to deliver that training in an expert and fun manner, and Tia turned from an uncontrollable puppy, to a dog with a gorgeous temperament who only got away with what I allowed her to!

I remember one particular class where an exceptionallly yappy dog was taught in the space of an hour that when he was quiet he was rewarded with attention for his good behaviour and when noisy he was ignored for his undesirable behaviour! An unbelievable change in such a short space of time!

I can't recommend MyPetGets highly enough, and after a break from training we can't wait to get back to rectify our lazy habits! More...

Having never used a dog behaviourist I was a bit apprehensive but had some issues with my dog Maisie she is a very large Alapaha bulldog, Jeni set me an Maisie at ease very quickly we worked on various aspects of training and how to get her focused on me, how to get Maisie using her brain and how to get her less apprehensive about meeting new people in the home, she has also given me lots of help and advice on new games to stop her getting bored and to keep her life more fulfilling,she is a much more relaxed dog now, I feel I have learnt a lot from Jeni and she has been a massive support to me, I have no reservations in recommending her highly to anyone thanks Jeni
