Oral Facial Surgery

Mr Kassam performed the surgical removal of a cancerous lesion from my scalp on Tuesday 7th September 2021 at the Kidderminster TC Daycase Unit. He won my confidence from the start when reviewing the consent form details. On being introduced to the theatre staff the friendly rapport between
Mr Kassam and the nurses was quite apparent.
During the surgery time period I was engaged by the team in discussions on a variety of topics - the training requirements to become a Maxilio-facial surgeon, hospital dress codes for nurses down the centuries, NHS methods for introducing new drugs and how the Plantagnets became established in England. The result was that I was completely distracted from the surgery in progress and the time passed unnoticed.
I was made very comfortable in the recovery facility and prepared for hospital discharge by Mr Hassam personally.
He subsequently contacted me at my home with the biopsy results and associated queries.

Mr Kassam was very helpful with my TMJ problems. He was very easy to contact and immediately replied to my email offering to help. I saw him after trying numerous different things for my jaw pain and suffering with it for months. He was very understanding and could understand the pain I was going through with my jaw. Mr Kassam recommended we go for an MRI and subsequently I had an arthroscopy. My operation went very smooth and Mr Kassam always explained what the procedure involved and answered all my questions. Mr Karim Kassam is the best. I would recommend him to everyone, he understood from the beginning what I wanted to achieve with the rhinoplasty surgery. Mr Kassam is an exceptionally professional, capable and approachable surgeon and with an impressive knowledge of his subject matter.   The consequential result for my open septorhinoplasty to correct a severely deviated septum was I had very little bruising, no pain whatsoever when I had my splint removed, one week after the procedure, I was nothing short of thrilled to see my new nose for the first time.  Eight weeks after the operation and my nose is fully healed, but straight and reduced in size, just as I asked for.  Mr Kassam is extremely empathetic and his obvious sincerity in wanting to understand the patient’s needs and address any concerns is what made me choose him over 4 other surgeons I also consulted.  In my head the procedure was a much bigger deal than it actually was and that was in very large part due to Mr Kassam whom I wholeheartedly recommend.
