MP IMPROVEMENTS

I’d like to begin by praising all the hard work all four boys did with our garden reno, we were happy with the final product which showed excellent work done by all. However…this company has a long way to improve when it comes to customer relationships. Will first came along to give us a quote for a 5mx6m astroturf and a 4.8m long sleeper flower bed. Although somehow only 2.4m sleeper was ordered for us and 4mx6m astroturfing which can I mention wouldn’t have been long enough anyways. I then asked if we could order another 2.4m of sleeper which we were told were £54 per timber beam so they must have been made out of gold. Therefore we decided to leave the sleeper bed and this will be something we will do ourselves for cheaper at a later date. However due to the 2.4m sleeper had been ordered it couldn’t be refunded which is understandable so we asked for that one sleeper to be built. We were then told we needed longer astroturf which will be an extra £220, and we were told that the quote we were given was an ESTIMATE. Who gives a quote for a job which is an estimate and does not mention it to the person who’s paying!!! So whilst the work was ongoing the bill was constantly being increased. On review of the first quotation that was emailed to us we noticed that it stated clearly that the product of Astro ordered was 5x6m and when we mentioned this to Will we had the reply of it was a typo made by him and we must pay the £220, very professional right! That day the boys arrived early to do work and Will asked my parter to reply to a text message he’d sent to have written confirmation we will pay the extra £220, however due to my partners work and in meetings he didn’t reply in the time Will wanted therefore they all left whilst work was on half and refused to return until he had a text back!! Throughout the whole work our final bill went up by £500 which may not seem a lot to some but as two young adults owning their first home it is a lot especially when we had to pay before he was willing to carry on work. The price of the bill could have gone up by another £200 however we refused to pay any more. We have also since found that only 5 out of the 6 sleeper wood was used so we don’t know what’s happened to the other one we have paid for. The final straw was when my partner asked for a receipt for the work and list of payments before we paid for the work, however this was impossible to have until we paid for all the work there and then. Which we then did and asked for the receipt by the end of that working day to which we had the reply of what is the rush!! The same as the rush for them to get the money, we want to know what we’ve paid. We have since had a phone call to leave a good review for them so here it is!
I never like to show shame on businesses as I am very aware this is their work however I felt I need to make others aware of what we didn’t. Although this does all sound negative, their actual work is great and they were all hard working but going forward as constructive feedback they need to really improve their customer relationships and to be honest with customers that their quote is an estimate from the beginning. Will, John and their team did an excellent job of re-turfing my front and back lawns, cleaning and regrouting the slabs on my patio and vastly improving the path at the side of my house. They all worked extremely hard, were very friendly and approachable and I'm really happy to be able to highly recommend them. More...

We are vary happy with this service, we had 3 quotes we choose the middle price from mp improvement they showed up on time , finished our garden on time and showed good workmanship.

When they came to give my quote they were very knowledgeable, polite and funny. They gave me a great price. Cant wait for them to start the job.

William and Matthew did a good job on my garden. Removed old patio slabs and continued my lawn so I have now a longer lawn. Also made a side door for me.
