Had acorn architectural draw up and project management my kitchen extension. We did try architects nearer to us but found Jamie and Ryan more friendly and reliable with returning calls and emails than the others. Acorn was helpful with answering questions especially when the builders hit unforeseen problems below ground. Good selection of ideas from their drawings, happy with service throughout would use again. More...

Ask for Paul Stockting in the Trowbridge office for detailed, accurate and intelligent advice. I've been using them for years and after year one (bedding in stage), they've taken away all the headaches of HMRC and doing accounts.

We did a little pub crawl in Chippenham for a change of scenery. The Angel Hotel was a gem amoung the rough with its excellent decor and really nice staff. We sat is the casual siting area noxt to the bar and it was both intermate and quiet. A must visit if in Chippenham and nowhere esle to go. More...

So the reason why I gave it just four stars is because of the fact that there were flies. And I don't mean an odd one or two, there was a few covering the lamp, like six or five now I think this may be because of the season but, still. Also the Ladies Toilets there's like 3 working locks so if you need to go to the Loo when it's busy. GOOD LUCK! But here's the good, First of all the equipment outside is great for kids (5-12) and it has great events such as balloon magic great for kids. OK Now food it is delicious and it tastes great but the drinks is alright they've added syrup to drinks. I think it's a great idea but they are a bit flavourless I ordered vanilla and it was very light and boring. The waiters lovely everyone is extremely nice but the could check on you a bit less every five minutes is "Hey Hey! How's the food? Good? Great!" But that can be good sometimes. So yeah great pub over all! More...

A good fish and chip shop, with a varied offering. Provides some tables for eating in, though we never have. It is our 'go-to' choice for a lazy Friday supper.

old lane is my local and despite other reviews - this pub is fantastic - great meals at affordable prices and they now have renewed there menu. i always go here as staff and owners very friendly and the pub has a good atmosphere. specially on a monday, bingo nite people have won upto £170 and quiz night on a thusday upto £400! Also monday - thursday themed meal such as 'mexican night' or 'burger night' or 'curry night' with good deals and a free drink. i love this pub, and also its not empty, visit it on a saturday night and its packed with good music and live music sometimes. people complaining its 'run for the staff, by the staff and cliquey' well yes, regulars go there and u see the same young, elderly and middle aged crowds there, isnt that what a small community pub is about? for the community, for the staff, regulars go there and young people cause they enjoy it and also it keeps young people off the streets, if u wanna have a laugh, good food, nice staff, mixture of all ages, come here. i live 10 mins away from pub also. also never heard of it as 'maggies bar' shame people are giving it low stars, i love this pub and if i move out of pewsham would go out of my way to return to it x More...

Smashing curry in a nice bright restaurant. Reassuringly busy on a rainy Friday afternoon. Good prices anyway, but the lunch deal of poppadoms, curry & rice/bread fir £5.95 is an amazing deal. More...

The Angel is the expensive option for staying in Chippenham.  It is in the centre of town, opposite the Bear, which is undergoing refurbishment at the time of writing.  the Angel was extensively modernized in 2007, with a modern block of rooms and a gym with pool added.Rooms in the main block are spacious and attractively decorated (we had one of the four poster rooms looking down on the Market Square).  Heating was a little erratic in this cold snap.  Staff were friendly and helpful, and seemed remarkably young.Food in the restaurant in the evening was of a reasonable standard, priced a little over average for the area, although the breakfast was poor.  The "English Breakfast" was sausage, one egg, bacon, beans, mushrooms and hash browns, with toast and coffee.  The mushrooms were cold, and the egg was, well, odd.The main lounge is popular for tea and coffee, with various locals as well as guests visiting while we were there. A great little shop full of everything you need for knitting, crocheting, sewing and general crafting. Phasepatch's friendly owners stock everything from safety pins to embroidery skeins. They've just opened another premises that sells fabric too. A great addition to Chippenham's high street. More...

Great little fish and chip shop, right opposite the library, so handy for snacks if you've been studying! Crispy cod and well-cooked chips. Not too much parking outside but there's a car park round the corner. More...

I love this indoor shopping centre in Chippenham, in such a small town it is great to have this. There are loads of chain shops including Woolworths, Clarkes, Dorothy Perkins, Currys and Tesco Metro. There are independent shops such as the pet shop, health food etc. There is Boswells coffee shop in the centre and that makes the whole shopping centre appealling. The large Tesco Metro which took Somerfields place is the end of the shopping centre. The car park to access this centre is below the shopping centre and allows 1 hour parking for 50p. This is the only car park that still allows this. You can wheel your tesco trolley right down to your car and leave it in the car park trolley bay. So 5 stars for this shopping centre. More...

This is our favourit place to have lunch. You feel as though you are sitting in someones house. The lounge area has really comfy chairs and big fire in the winter. The tea is served with real teapots etc. We have also had their afternoon tea, and it is a real treat. Much better value than some of the other cafes. This is a great place to come when you are busy shopping and you want to unwind. You feel that you are treating yourself to something special without paying over the odds. For instance one and half rounds of sandwiches with crisps is about £4. More...
