We engaged Mole Valley builders to build a new terrace and some steps at the rear of our detached house. Our garden is quite big and we’d removed some trees so wanted to make the most of the new space.
We were impressed with Nick’s comprehensive quote as he detailed all that we had asked him to do, so there was no room for any misunderstanding.
The project “grew” and thanks to Nick’s thoughtful ideas we continued the work to include another terrace and a path in the rear garden.
We were so impressed with the work Mole Valley did that we had no hesitation asking him to rebuild a wall and redesign our front garden, which was long overdue.
Nick is a skilled craftsman and we are delighted with the quality and finish of all that he did. We now have a beautiful herringbone brick path leading from the Litch Gate to the front door and a York Stone path leading to another door.
It was very reassuring to have a reliable builder who turned up every day and got on with the job with enthusiasm and skill.
The project took longer than we had originally thought because we realised how fortunate we were to have found such a five star builder and we were only too happy to make the much needed landscaping improvements to the rest of our garden.
We have no hesitation in recommending Mole Valley Builders.

Their standards are high, and Nick genuinely worked to ensure that our wishes were carried out to our satisfaction in every aspect of the work.

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The Garage would need to be of a suitable size with enough head room. A structural engineer would need to be engaged to discuss what changes would be needed to the structure. Drawings would need to be created depending on whether planning permission would be needed.

A very brief run through of what's involved
- Structural Plans and Consent from local council
- Building control would need to be engaged as project develops at different stages
1. Clean the internal
2. Start structural works
3. Engage electricians and Plumbers for first fix
4. Fit windows/ Doors
5. Plasterboard and Insulate, then plaster
6. Electricians and Plumbers 2nd fix
7. Paint, fit flooring and skirting board
8. Clear away site.

We have been in business since 2013, developing into a LTD company in 2018.
What guarantee does your work come with?
This varies on the type of job we are undertaking.
Generally, new roofs have a 10 year guarantee and appliances would be down to the manufacturer warranty E.g. Sanitary wear and Kitchens.

What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been working in the building trade in excess of 18 years, and it seemed natural to me to take on a team due to a growing client base. I enjoy seeing a happy customer at the end of a job.
