Although we've never met (there was at least 2000 long Aussie miles between us) your work always arrived on time and gave AirPix a good name with our aerial photography clients.

However, Miriam's one month photography course has been a total revelation! Her expert and patient one-to-one tuition totally demystified what can be a very complex subject and I was quickly able to gain a better understanding and greater control of my camera's manual settings. So after only one month I'm able to use my camera properly and take photos that I'm proud of! All in all an excellent and really enjoyable course - highly recommended! More...

Great lighting! Understanding and using light well is the 'secret' - after all, 'photography' means 'drawing with light'.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are the photographs going to be used for and where are they going to be seen? Most of our work is in the commercial sector so it's helpful to understand what the photographs need to demonstrate and who they should appeal to, so that we can provide photographs that enable the client to attain their goals, not just photographs that catch the eye.

We’ll discuss with architects what their client's requirements were and how they were addressed — has the house been designed for an 'inside outside' feel? Was the priority a flow between the kitchen and the living space? Did they want more light? We will take these driving design principles and compose photographs that show them off.
Interior Design Photography
When shooting for an interior designer we take a moment to absorb the ambiance that the room generates. Then we look for the fabrics, colours, artwork and shapes that the designer has used to craft this ambiance and use those, along with careful compositions and lighting, to convey the right feeling in our photographs.
Estate Agency / Vendor Photography
Our job here is to entice people to come and view the property, which is achieved not only by showing it in its best possible light without altering the truth — it’s also to evoke an emotional response, because people choose houses with their hearts as much as their heads!

Property Videography
As well as showcasing a property’s features, our videos play with visually interesting compositions and offer more dynamic movement than traditional ‘side-to-side panning’. Videos are then matched with carefully selected (licenced) music to enhance the emotional response of the viewer.
If aerial footage is required, we team up with an experienced CAA licensed drone operator who takes the footage for us to edit into the video.
Property Styling / Lifestyle Staging
This service is to add the ‘wow factor’ to shoots using carefully chosen accessories, soft furnishings, food and flowers to create an enticing space.
The goal is to highlight the kind of lifestyle that the property offers, because when people are browsing houses online they aren’t just looking for a property - they are looking for the next chapter of their life.
