QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCREDITATIONS:
I am a fully qualified and dedicated Counsellor, Cognitive behavioural therapist and Hypnotherapist. I am an accredited Member of National Counselling Society (MNCS Accred.) and a registrant member of the National Hypnotherapy Society (MHS), UK. I hold a PhD in Behavioural Sciences -Education major.
ABOUT MY SERVICES:
I provide highly confidential and effective services in Counselling, Integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), and Coaching; in-person, by Skype and Duo, on WhatsApp and by phone. Mixing the modes of services; in-person, Skype, WhatsApp and the phone can also be arranged. Online counselling, coaching and therapy are very flexible and time-efficient options as you can get services in your own home or in a location where you have access to a computer or mobile phone.
Promptly getting help which is flexible and that can be scheduled around other commitments is important when you go through life challenges. As a therapist, I recognise and take this seriously which is why I am offering Skype, Duo and WhatsApp sessions at short notice including evenings and weekends.
Sometimes it may just need a couple of sessions to get you back on the track and in other situations, of course, more time may need to be devoted as the best way forward.
ABOUT MY APPROACHES:
I use different psychological approaches and their combinations to ensure the best possible results. For example, REBT -therapy is evidence-based, effective approach and method, which can be used alone or combined with other approaches. I teach relaxation, mindfulness and hypnotherapy techniques to combat stress, helping you to flourish in your life and career. I also offer very efficient short-term therapy and hypnotherapy options for presentation anxiety, quitting smoking and other issues suitable for short term approach. Sometimes even one to three sessions are enough.
EFFECTIVE PROCESS AND SUPPORT BETWEEN SESSIONS:
I offer my clients free resources to read and exercises they can also do between sessions to gain skills for well-being and permanent change. I am eager to educate my clients about the approaches I use to help them gain transferrable skills and flourish in their lives. The CBT and REBT approaches are research-based and aim at making the therapist becoming unnecessary in the long run and for the client to gain skills making them their own therapist.
ABOUT MY PERSONAL BACKGROUND:
Besides professional qualifications, I have also my own personal experiences of mental health issues in my past. I had some traumatic experiences in my childhood and have experienced an anxiety disorder and depression. This has helped me better understand clients’ experiences and helps also to choose the best techniques. I have been given much positive feedback on this from my clients. I have also much work experience outside therapy room including academia and teacher education.
I am experienced in working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
SUPERVISION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
I am eager to further study and develop my skills to help my clients better. I have regular supervisions and attend various professional training to keep my knowledge and skills up to date and in constant development.
