Film Maker
As a self-shooting Director I take ideas and develop concepts into realistic and tangible productions which I can shoot and edit beyond a basic level.
The term Film Maker is loosely used to assist potential collaborators and customers to find me.
Executive Producer
As the Executive Producer you are the captain of the business element of the venture, responsible for everything from budgeting and scheduling to arranging the right team and setting up locations and ensuring the production runs smoothly for the Director.
Few things are more satisfying yet as demanding as being the Executive Producer.
Director
As the Director the most important qualities are vision, passion and communication of that vision and passion to all involved to ensure a prosperous and enjoyable production and a successful film or video at the end.
I love Directing because it is a highly involved position where pivotal creative decisions are made.
Director of Photography
The Director of Photography knows the camera he is using as well as the lights he is working with and how to create the required atmosphere, environments and feelings for each particular scene.
The DoP's job is intense and physically demanding at times, coupled with a strong Director it can be a real pleasure.
Videographer
Although I dislike the term, as Videographer I am the entire film business in one person so smaller more intimate projects are suited to this nature.
From development of ideas to camera and lighting, sound and editing and even assistance on strategising distribution, I look at the entire process when approaching a video project.
