I can't deny that the work completed is to a good standard. The people Paul hires clearly know what they're doing and don't cut corners. But the time it took to complete was outrageous. He would leave us days or sometimes even weeks without replying to texts and calls even after promises he would be in touch. We were without a working kitchen for months. We had to beg and plead for him to send anyone and then they would be on site for one or two days and then vanish again. I couldn't recommend MET construction because the stress it caused us thinking we had hired cowboy builders who had left us in the lurch was absolutely awful. I don't think Paul is malicious, but he clearly took on more projects than he had time for. It was meant to take 12 weeks start to finish. We finally had it finished enough to move in fully at the end of December, when it was meant to be done in August. It's now March and the last tiny bit it STILL not done, but we have given up chasing him at this point. We're happy with the outcome, and I hope Paul can take the feedback and manage his projects better in the future. If he can follow through on agreed timescales he would have an excellent business. What a wonderful company to deal with. We had work done to our old stone house. We knew there were going to be issues once they started but the teams attitude was always positive and reassuring. Every issue we came across they were able to provide a solution, explain what the consequences of those solutions were and how they would affect the project going forward. You hear so many stories about people having terrible experiences. We had family members who swore they would never go through any building work again. We had MET Construction build our wrap around orangery extension which involved knocking through the existing back wall. It's fair to say we were worried about living through the build process. Expectations are everything. Paul sat us down, even before we agreed to go ahead. He explained how it would work, what stage the knock-through would happen, how long it will take, how much mess they would be and for how long.
