MES came recommended by a colleague at work. Throughout the quote and install process I can’t fault the service we have received. I had a number of questions about the best configuration to install - as a result of not really getting answers when dealing with quotes from other installers - and each was answered in full and came with additional information I didn’t know I needed. Even the survey visit provided more information about how to go about making the right decision - because time was taken to understand what we were trying to achieve before the survey was done (something that did not happen with a surveyor from another company). The install was smooth and completed in two visits due to an out of stock item requiring a few days wait. I’m really happy with what we have and how it is working for us. MES have handled everything to get us to this point - throughout the process quotes, paperwork and questions have consistently been turned round quickly and at no point have we been left waiting for a response. From the initial visit from Craig the owner filling me with confidence I have been really pleased. I'd carefully searched for a local company with a long background in solar, instead of all these pop ups providing nothing more than installation and folding up every couple of years. Craig filled my requirements perfectly as an electrician of many years who's moved into PV over a long period of time. His quote was also very competitive with plenty of help and advice sorting out exactly what I wanted. His team of two Ryans and Nigel arrived and set about a clean, tidy, and very fast installation. This impressed me greatly. As a project engineer good planning always leads to a quality approach to a job, and these guys were exactly what I like in a supplier. Less than two days and I've got exactly what I asked for, for less than these pop up companies, and great experience all round renewing my faith in solar PV after cancelling a few over the last 10 years due to fine print clauses and such. We had our system fitted by M.E.S. after our neighbours were very pleased with them. Our roof profile meant that panels were fitted at the front and back, with no problem. The inverter and battery are conveniently tucked away in the garage, maintaining easy access to the cars. The Solar iboost is also working well to heat the hot water. Craig, Rachael and the team are clearly very knowledgeable and efficient, and also very personable. We have just had our solar system installed by MES. From the start of this process I found them to be very helpful and answered all my questions. We contacted a number of Suppliers of Solar panels for quotes on a new system. Although the quotes were all similar in costs we decided to choose MES Electrical after the managing director visited and surveyed the site. Whenever, we had questions responses were quick and efficient. The installation took 2 days as estimated and the team that turned up were polite, curteous and very engaging with us. When walking on carpet they even removed their outer shoes without any prompting on our part! From the moment the system was operational we began to experieince an immediate reduction in power we were drawing from the grid even on days when the sun was not shinning the App showed we were sending energy back to the grid. We contacted MES in November / December time 2022 for a quote for a solar panel system. The process of getting a quote was easy, and was all done online. We were happy with the quote and the detailed information in the quote, pointing to the foreseen efficiency and cost-benefit of the new system. Getting booked in for the job also was a smooth process. MES worked with us to find a date that would work for both parties. From there on out, as customers, it has been plain sailing to be frank. Scaffolding went up on the agreed date, the work started and completed as planned, with minimum hassle for us. Any issues with our old roof tiles were sorted to prevent leaks, without adding extra costs to the original quote. Professional and efficient workers, with special mention to Ryan. What do you love most about your job?
In the current climate and the ever increasing cost of living, its extremely fulfilling to be able to offer a solution with Solar PV to significantly reduce electricity bills. The positive environmental impact of installing a renewable energy source at the same time is also very satisfying.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We formed the company in 2011 with the same ethos we have today, a local company servicing the local community. The Solar industry has changed drastically throughout the time we have been in business with larger companies entering the market with a national presence and one size fits all solution, this was never our approach.
We purposefully avoid the common mistakes some companies make in trying to become too big too soon , the common pitfalls being an inability to deliver on customer service expectations through logistics and planning. We started the business to be a great local company, not an average national one and we will never compromise our quality of workmanship in the name of growth.
Why should our clients choose you?
We pride ourselves on the traditional values of a small family run company servicing customers local to us, we only work within a 30 mile radius of our base in Solihull. Over the last 12 years we have built up a reputation whereby much of the work we do is referred to us by word of mouth from existing customers and we pride ourselves on providing the best customer service at competetive prices.
We never apply a one size fits all to Solar PV and always take a consultative approach providing a bespoke solution that suits each customer’s requirements. We never sub-contract and all our work is installed by our qualified, experienced MCS registered Electricians.
Furthermore, we have developed relationships with a multitude of reliable and established suppliers. As a result we are in a position to offer tier one products exclusively to our customers.

We have the latest software to design a Solar Pv system and provide a remote quotation for custoners if they prefer. However before any potential installation takes place, a roof and electrical survey must be undertaken to ensure any work can be done technically and safely.

We ensure all our staff carry the necessary PPE to ensure our work is carried out in a safe manner.
