I was very nervous before the shoot but once we started he helped me so much and made sure I don't feel uncomfortable, it became the best experience! We loved our photos by Mervyn. We have been complimented continuously on his photographs. From the start he was very personable. No awkwardness- very easy to get on with. This really helped with building a rappor so that we could take natural pictures. He also offered that we meet up before hand and said that would assist in feeling comfortable in front of the camera. I agree it did. He was also very gracious in that we were slightly late- thanks Mervyn.

I originally told Mervyn that I wanted to secretly capture our engagement and he immediately brought fresh and creative ideas to the table. I unknowingly chose a tricky location to shoot in (for access reasons) but Mervyn worked his magic with security and the whole thing couldn’t have gone any better. Mervyn is not just a great photographer but a great person to be around so that made the whole shoot even more enjoyable. We recently had Mervyn do our engagement shoot and what a great experience it was.Posing for photos doesn’t come naturally to us, especially to my partner who hates having his photo taken so he was very apprehensive about doing a photo shoot. But Mervyn was great at making us both feel relaxed and we ended up thoroughly enjoying the experience.We discussed the type of shoot we wanted and possible locations with Mervyn beforehand , and all communication with him was fast, informative and just super friendly.On the morning of the shoot, we met for a coffee first and just chatted a bit to relax us into the situation and then the shoot itself was as natural as possible. Sure, it feels a bit alien having a camera following you around at first – but you soon get into the swing of things and don’t notice him there as he blends into the situation giving you the most beautiful/natural shots you could want.We did pose for a few shots, but by that point you are happily into the swing of things and it’s actually nice to feel a little bit like a celeb having your picture taken.Our shoot with Mervyn was an all-round lovely experience from start to finish.
