Really great club. I've not stuck to anything for more than a year or so before, but I've been at this club for over 6 years! ..that's a testament to how well run the school is. I would highly recommend this school to anypne! I havebbeen learning Wing Chun here for nearly 6 years now. I have been inspired by all the students and teachers to improve my own ability and character. As a result of all this I am now enrolled on the coaching team and couldn't be happier. Defiantly recommend. I signed my son Freddy up in hope it would help to build his confidence and to gain some good skills. I can't rate the women's self-defence course highly enough. The reason my children go to Meridian is so that I'm reassured that they can look after themselves, but I've always felt self-conscious about doing anything for myself. So when I saw the first course advertised, I felt a bit apprehensive, but booked in anyway. I'm really glad that I did. As soon as I arrived Angela and Annette were really friendly, reassuring and engaging. Within a few minutes of the class starting, we were learning about assault statistics (which are quite shocking), staying safe and demonstrating techniques that we can use even against bigger attackers. It was nice that we laughed and had fun too. The class size was quite small, so everyone could see, hear and get a good amount of hands on practice. Being a women-only class made it easier to relax and get over the uncomfortable feeling of starting something new, and was totally worthwhile. I'd definitely recommend that other women sign up for the self-defence course. I also think that young women in senior schools should be given the opportunity to take this class. More...

I have been training in the meridian group for over 12 years now, when I started I was made to feel welcome in a friendly environment. This is a skill for life. My 10 years old daughter and my 6 years old son have been practising Kung Fu for nearly 2 years and it's the best activity by far that they have tried out. The confidence it has given the children is so noticeable! It's so much more than just learning how to defend yourself. It teaches them respect, pride, how to be street wise and much more... And blimey those kids know how to kick and punch, gone are the days when they were practising on my husband! We need pads!! Its a fantastic team. More...
