Q&As

Being allowed into some ones life for as long as they need support and having the privilege to walk alongside them on their journey, however difficult it may be. To watch someone struggling with negative thoughts, empower themselves to turn them into something positive, touches me every time.

Having experienced personal trauma that flawed me, I sought help and it changed my life. I retrained to become a therapist as I wanted to have the opportunity to give something back. I have never turned back on my decision. Now I am in the privileged position of having the chance to help others through difficult times in their lives as I was helped.

I have been told I am calm, compassionate, non-judgemental and empathetic. I know what it is like to have been at the depths of despair and to come through it as a stronger person. I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist, which means I use a variety of therapeutic models depending on what a client may need. Some of the models I use are Gestalt therapy, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy and creative methods for example sand therapy.

I have an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and specialised in looking at the impact of ancestry on the therapeutic process for both client and therapist.
