What makes a great website?
A great website is one that has been thoroughly thought out before beginning design. It needs to start with a strong visual identity (logo and colours), it needs to have its content sitemap/blueprint worked out before beginning. The website needs good original photography and needs to have the text copywritten by a specialist. Should the site be integrated with a content management system or be managed by the person/company that makes it? How should your customers use the website? Should they fill out a form or call your phone number, is the internet site for informational purposes or are you offering a product or service? Have you thought of a secure domain? Does it include your main keyword? Has the website been optimised for Google? Is all of the coding compressed, have images been sized correctly? Have two images been used for retina screens? Has all of the on-page SEO been researched and implemented? Have social platforms been integrated and set up correctly? What makes a great website - all of the above and a lot more besides - this is why getting an experienced company to make your website is of paramount importance. Anyone can chuck a WordPress site together but how many people can build a website properly?

What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for a company that I eventually lost faith in and always thought if I ran that company how I would do this that and the next thing! I was given the opportunity months later to buy that company, which I did and now I am doing all of those things, doing this and that and the next thing!

Each website we design and build is built from the ground up and takes into account all the pre-requisites that Google looks for when it ranks a website.
Google uses over 2000 signals to rank a site, and I know what the most poignant of these are that will get a site to rank.
However, there is no quick press a button solution unless you have a decent monthly marketing budget that can be used on a PPC or Google Adwords campaign and then the results will be immediate.
Your website and its design play a paramount role if the sole purpose of the site is to make sales or create sales leads.
I would need to have a lengthy discussion with you about keywords.
I would need to know your target market and get you understand the time that it will take to get your website to rank depending on that target market. Sometimes it can be a matter of months other times it can be a few years, as it all depends on the competitiveness of keywords and whether it is better to try and rank for something different which will at least provide some traffic.
Search Engine Optimisation is a lengthy process and takes many years to master, I am happy to start you off and put a monthly campaign into motion for you and even give you pointers. I have helped over 1800 businesses in the South-West prosper online as I have been doing this now for over 12 years.
