About

In early 2016, Haider Anjum and Shariq Poonawala came together with one simple goal. Perspective. Having worked in Architectural Technology for many years, they both realised that working together with Architects, firms and end-customers to deliver superior designs, renderings and visualisations of plans resulted in a significant increase in client satisfaction.

I chose Mecha Works as my agent to obtain a planning permission to build a garden wall. The service was next to none, they were extremely professional all the way through. After a short meeting and couple of telephone conversations, they produced drawings that were the exact image of what I had in mind. They handled all the communications with the planning office and managed to get the plans through with minimal modifications. I would certainly recommend Mecga Works for anyone intending to apply for planing permission. More...

The wizards at MECHA works have expert-level knowledge of software combined with cutting-edge hardware.
Their ability to meet demands and implement changes with speed and efficiency is second to none. As someone who currently works in the construction industry, it's alarming to see how quick it is evolving, and how architectural firms are struggling to keep up with the rapid innovations of technology. MECHA works are at the absolute forefront of the industry. They're not playing catch-up; they are leading the way. More...

Coupled with their passion, knowledge and understanding of architecture and design I really do have the best house on the street. Thank you to the guys at Mecha Works. Grateful for all your hard work and dedication, as well as the solutions you presented for every obstacle that arose. Appreciate everything you have done on this project ... THANK YOU!

Team MECHA Works have been nothing but professional and polite. And more importantly- patient with me and my never ending questions, and ideas!

If you're like me, and looking to get work done, but have very little idea of what you actually want - give them a call! They'll not only understand your requirements and budget, but the designs they produce are exceptional, and will leave you in awe!

Thanks once again for all your help, Mr. Shariq. I really appreciate it.

Q&As

if the garage is connected to the building, there is a good chance they can convert it. most project like this don't always need planning permission, but it you house is in a conservational area this will mean that you have to get planning but it better to always have a chat with us and we can make sure that there will be no issues.

we suggest going through with a pre planning application, if your council allows this for free. and then put in the planning application but the main stages are as below:
1) give us a call to come in and have a look to see if the project is viable.
2) once the project is confirmed, we would come out to measure up.
3)go through pre-planning, (if it is Free)
4)make sure clients are happy with final plans.
5) Put in for planning application
6) change plans if needed to comply with council need and find the right design for both the client and council.
7)give the client the good news that their planning application has been approved.

first and most important is to see if the height in a loft space is high enough to stand in comfortably.
Then it is important to see what the roof structure is like. If there are trusses in the way it can become very expensive to convert as the roof will most likely have to be re-done

being able to give client 3D design so they know exactly what their property will look like once its done and seeing the project when its finished.

we saw that when huge projects are being done the large architectural companies would produce 3D images for the clients to look at but no one really did it for the small extension.
People getting small projects done where left with just small line plans to look at which can be difficult for people to understand especially if they are not in the industry, and giving people 3D images was just a no brainer.

because we have a 100% planning granted rate, we would not take on a project that we cant do, and we give the client peace of mind, so the only thing they need to do is talk to us, we have a very small turnaround time, and most importantly we are always there for the client (i.e. making sure we take calls , this seems to be a big problem client seem to be having with some architectural professionals).
