Quick response, super quick site visit, professional and very friendly

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to employ Emma at MCE to carry out the drawing work we needed. She helped us plan out a design for a rear extension that suits our needs and even sorted out some old building warrant completions we needed taken care of. She went over and above what was asked and made everything just straight forward and simple.

Where to start…. I was initially contacted by Emma in regards to a house extension we had planned to start in the new year. After a short conversation Emma made arrangements to come and visit and at no cost to herself may I add. After meeting and going over a few things I decided to use Emma for the work planned. In seeking architectural services through Bark, Emma from MCE came back to us very quickly and arranged a scoping meeting at a time convenient to us. Now, some weeks later, she has just submitted planning with floorplans and elevations which have went through 7 iterations. As part of that process, she lent both significant technical skill and lots of creativity to fill the wide gaps in how we tried to articulate our new home vision. As clients, this was a significant help; Emma has also formed an excellent professional relationship with our builder which will help smooth the project when it enters the build phase and is co-ordinating on our behalf with SAP calc engineering and structural design specialists. Emma is friendly, flexible, really tries to understand her clients and offers a quick turnaround on queries / drawing development. I had a visit from Emma who seemed kean to work with me. I asked for some reference materials to see what she'd done in the past and this was in the week leading up to xmas. She didn't get back and this has left me feeling that maybe she was fraudulent. Regardless, I would encourage anyone thinking of using Emma to get some references. More...

Good morning Stuart, I'm sorry you feel this way. I do apologise that I have not been able to respond to you since our last visit. Unfortunately due to the Christmas period being extremely busy and some illness added in to the mix I had been behind with my workload. I do however feel that the term fraudulent is a little strong for this situation as I've only carried out one initial visit to your property, no money has exchanged hands and we didn't enter into any contract. I am a very honest person and would never conduct myself in a manner to cause intentional disrespect. This is definitely a massive learning experience for me as my business is just in the early stages of getting off the ground, not everything will run as smoothly as I hope and sometimes things like this will slip through the net.
