I've been teaching full-time for 20 years, in various local schools and academies, from complete beginners to Grade 8 and beyond. Each lesson is tailored to the needs of the pupil, if you want to learn how to strum a few campfire songs I can help - I also teach the Rockschool and Trinity Rock and Pop syllabuses if a formal approach is desired. What do you love most about your job?
Building relationships with people and seeing them achieve their goals is completely wonderful and I'm very lucky to have had a job I love for so long.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I used to work in the office of a local factory and I had to make a decision about what direction my life was taking - I think I made the right decision!

I think I'm great at creating an environment that people want to be in, and I think that facilitates effective learning.

Up until March last year all of my work was in local schools and face-to-face. Going online presented some challenges but having done hundreds of lessons since I think I've got most of the issues sewn up - one thing you will need is a metronome as the internet doesn't allow us to play at the same time! Online presents an opportunity to look further afield for teachers and students.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As above, remaining at home is the best way to keep Covid secure - as we move out of lockdown, anyone wary of sharing spaces with strangers should find online lessons reassuring.
