I cannot thank Matt enough for helping me to get my mojo back. Working out with him is the best kind of therapy I have ever had. He is so enthusiastic about his job. The passion for helping others especially when they feel so insecure is amazing. I’m so happy I have him as my pt and getting the results I’m getting shows just how amazing he is. Really enjoying doing our group training with Matt, I started out with no previous experience of doing weights and he has helped us to learn the ropes and perfect our techniques. I am able to do things that I didn't think were possible. He has also helped me fix a previous injury by focusing on a muscle imbalance I have, really enjoy doing the sessions and working with Matt. would recommend him to anyone. More...

Just completed another hour of awesomeness with Matt! I'm a complete beginner, and hated the gym as had no idea what I was doing. 4 weeks in now - loving it and feeling more confident already. Matt has loads of patience and makes each session fun and varied with lots of bodyweight exercises. I had no idea what to expect before my first session, but had nothing to worry about - everything was covered in the free consultation and Matt helped out by suggesting some goals to work towards. Couldn't boast about Matt enough! He pushes you to the limit without feeling like you're over doing it. Been training with Matt for 6 weeks now and love the variety in training. Learn so much from his sessions that we can use in our own gym sessions as well. Matt is a great personal trainer, he makes the sessions fun and really pushes you. He always makes sure you fully understand the technique and is always happy to help. He has made me find the motivation to get fit again and for that I am very thankful. No session is the same which makes me look forward to work out and see what he has in store. Really happy I found Matt, I have always struggled with committing to a routine and actually putting time by to do it. There was always a reason today was just not the right day. After many years the weight had piled on and I was fed up with short term diets that were simply that (short term). Having somone to motivate you, work out routines, help ajust your diet and all tailored to be achievable whilst pushing you to do your best is a god send. The routines always feel fresh and dare I say it fun.
If your goal is to loose weight, train for an event, or in my case simply feel healthy you are in the right place and safe hands. ��

Back in 2006 I had a motorcycle crash resulting in me having to have an operation on my knee, before that I was quite fit. An since then I've kind of let that be an excuse that I can't do certain stuff.
This has ended up with me slowly putting weight on each year and not being able to shift it.
I'm into my fifth week with Matt, and already have friends saying that I look like I've lost weight, and I'm feeling much better in myself.
Each week we do different stuff so it's always enjoyable and not like a chore, which I've felt like in past.
So thank you Matt, an I would recommend you to anyone. ��

I started my fitness training when I realised that walking up stairs and hills was becoming a problem. Luckily I met Matt, when I started I found it difficult to do even a squat.
Matt put me on a regime to first raise my fitness to a level where I would gradually be able to perform the kind of exercises I would need to enable me to attain my goals. In making the routines interesting, challenging and most importantly achievable, I am beginning to approach those goals, because of the diversity of exercise, I am not only still interested but look forward to exercising.
I move into 2017 feeling healthier, fitter and full of optimism. Should you be feeling a need to do something about your health and fitness try Matt, it will be hard work but fun, as your fitness improves he will encourage you to adjust your regime to suit and keep you interested, you will achieve your goals. This is the first time I have used a P.T. and it is working.

When i first started training with Matt i was in a position where id lost all my confidence, i wasn't going to the gym as the thought of going made me feel sick, to the point id get outside and then turn around and go home again. After 10 weeks training with Matt he has taught me so much and i have gained the confidence to now go back to the gym. Not only did Matt physically help me but mentally i was in such a good place, id feel so much happier and mentally strong after a session with Matt. He's the most relaxed guy you could work with, someone who genuinely cares about your goals. When i first started looking for a PT i needed someone who would be happy for my sessions to be at different times every week with the shift pattern i work, Matt never made it a problem and made the whole process that much easier. I've trained with Matt for over a year now and can confidently say that you will not find a better trainer/buddy/pal anywhere. I started as I needed to get fitter and stronger generally but couldn't keep motivated to go to a normal gym regularly over a long period of time. Straight away the sessions felt encouraging and I knew I was here to stay. Matt never stops challenging me and I have gained a lot of overall strength and ability as well as the best knowledge of how to train. Every session brings something new to training and I would also recommend the group sessions to anyone who wants to start up. It seems daunting to go and put yourself in that position where your'e giving it everything but everyone is here for the same reason. I've found that this also brings a new motivation to training and even some competition! I've come a long way over the past 14+ months whilst training with Matt and will be sticking around too as I just love doing what we do! Couldn't have done it without this guy! More...

He makes you feel at ease no matter what your ability and fitness is and is encouraging throughout the class. Plus he really takes the time to ensure you're learning each exercise properly so you really feel the benefit of the work out.

Focused results based programming which is guaranteed to get everyone the results they are searching for.

First of all I sit down with the client to find out what their goals are, get some values down so we have something to work towards. For example if there goal is to get fitter, we narrow down what exactly that could be - walk up the stairs without losing breathe, picking up their baby easily or run 5K.

From this I devise a programme best suited to those goals, and we work at that smashing it out together. I also offer nutrition advise and meals to help supplement their gym work at home.

Additionally I make sure clients stay on top of their mobility as without mobility it isn't possible to do a lot of movements, so stretching and aftercare away from sessions is key!

Setting the body of your dreams in real terms with your lifestyle and setting goals which are

S - specific

M - measurable

A - achievable

R - realistic

T - time-based

Finally, to be consistent towards your goal

In my years of being a coach I have learnt two very important things, make exercise fun, and rewarding! This is what I try to encourage and programme with my own training and sessions for my clients. I am a keen coach of CrossFit and functional movements, so I encorporate the coaching styles and movements of CrossFit into my clients sessions as much as possible, so make it the most fun it can be! The reasons for this: each session is constantly varied and never the same, each movement has a functionality purpose (real life meaning), and the movements are performed at a high intensity (makes you sweat...a lot!).

With my training you'll never have a boring workout ever again. No more tiresome running on the treadmill! I'll make you avoid the machines and work your body as hard as a 10mile run! Sessions are never predictable as each session the exercises change.

Through my passion I hope, together I can open your eyes to different methods of exercise and, show you the right techniques by which you can achieve your goals.

Because I am not a trainer with just a certificate...

I am a coach who honestly cares that you get your goals, and have a great time in achieving them!
