At MAAF we offer EGO-FREE martial arts classes that teach realistic self defence with patient instructors every Monday and Thursday at 19:30 - 21:00.

Everyone has some rough idea of their fitness goals and it is our qualified fitness trainer's responsibility to understand those goals, discuss how to reach them in a (free) consultation and then move on to building a diet plan and tailored training program that is suited to the individual's unique strengths, circumstances and areas of potential development.

For our martial arts students, fitness isn't the end goal but rather a healthy bi-product of the training that students undergo to build core skills and principles that will protect them in daily life. While you don't need to be fit to start martial arts, a good level of fitness is an inevitable result of training for self defence.

Most will say diet and exercise and while that is absolutely true, before that can even happen, the secret is to take that first and most important step and that is deciding to commit to improving yourself and doing one thing in the right direction.

Our instructors had a chance to teach at an incredibly early age and made a positive impact on so many lives of all ages and were simply bitten by the bug. Almost two decades later and learning from every discipline they could, they finally came across an opportunity to:
