Simple and well thought out navigation with a beautiful design. Get to the point and provide your clients with the information they need and only that!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What they are hoping to achieve from their website / app? Is it an information portal, a communication tool, a brochure site or do they wish to get a return on investment and hope to sell items. We would conduct a WNA (Website needs analysis) to determine the purpose of the site
Describe your creative process.
Conduct a "website / app needs analysis" to gain a better understanding of the business and its requirements. Find out what they business is hoping to achieve from the website / app, and what they wish to promote / include on the product. From there we would create a sitemap highlighting the navigation and content. This will enable the client to pin point any areas that need more work, we would also ask for any example of other sites that impress them or on the flip side ones that they strongly dislike, along with who their target audience is. Once we have collated all of this information we will create a design for them to review, make any amendments, request the content and then create their website.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Their corporate identify i.e. colours and logo, their target audience, reason for website, idea of content and any images.
