Mark was invited to speak at our company’s leadership meeting. It was one of the most engaging and inspiring talks I’ve ever attended. Mark told the story of how he successfully skippered a boat in an ‘round the world’ challenge and very skilfully tied it to business leadership, highlighting important learnings and parallels. Although I know nothing about sailing, it was mesmerising and I felt as if I was leading my own sailing team in a similar navigation - I was with him every step of the way. What inspired you to start your own business?
Having completed the round the world yacht race I was asked to come and share what I had learnt about leadership and teamwork with my sponsor. The first event i did I got a standing ovation at the end, and I just thought i've got something really special here that could make a difference to so many. I also love the challenge, thrill and satisfaction that keynote speaking can bring.
