What do you love most about your job?
I love that each day is different and yet the same, there is a common thread in everything I do. People who need support.
Whether they want support in their business, their life choices or in helping them create a day to remember, whether it be as an event planner or a wedding celebrant, a business consultant or a virtual assistant, a writer or a life coach, I love to see the joy and enlightenment that comes from making a difference to the time in someone elses life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve had another business for over ten years. It's doing just great and I still have my hand in it! I'm a workaholic! And yet this business, Mariposa Creations, was born from a diagnosis that I received and I found that I wanted to take my experience from teaching, coaching, writing and presenting into one thing, why did I have to only focus on one? Life it too short!
I wanted to explore my creativity and to also take my experience from corporate events into romantic events. To use my presenting and writing skills in a business setting, but also a more romantic setting, so I retrained as a Celebrant to add to my skills!
I wanted to share my experience of business, my teaching and my love of coaching.
And I wanted my life to be varied.
I wanted to touch down into peoples lives as they needed me, like a butterfly and then fly off when I'm no longer needed.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I believe a person should attach themselves to a mission, a calling, a purpose.
And mine is love, work life balance, finding your why and happiness.

We provide services remotely throughout Devon and Cornwall, sometimes travelling further afield depending on requests.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We constantly keep updated by the gov.uk website. If and when we meet clients face to face, we wear the recommend PPE and supply hand sanitiser, use the track and trace systems and can also supply rapid testing before any event.
