DO NOT USE! Just had a very poor experience with Maid2Clean in Norfolk. Cleaner refused to stay for full time booked, refused to clean where we requested, broke several glasses and then tried to blame us for the breakage. Standard of clean was very poor. Customer service rep badgered me for payment ahead of the clean but has not offered any kind of refund or to compensate for clumsy cleaner breaking our glassware. It's not made clear that the Maid2Clean fee doesn't actually include the clean - you have to pay the cleaner on the day separately, which is awkward when they've done a crap job but also expect to be tipped! It's embarrassing. There is no point hiring a cleaner when ultimately they do a considerably worse job that you can do yourself and basically refuse to do the additional jobs you ask them to do. Non responsive (email) non connection on the 0333 number. I had to chase countless times to find out if I actually had a cleaner allocated (after 3 weeks from enquiry) very very frustrating, I avoid if you want a straightforward fluid experience. Signed up online and within a few hours we were told that they had found a cleaner for us who would come to look around the house the next day. The 'cleaner' arrived, glued to her phone with iPods still in situ and proceeded to tell us that this was her first cleaning job and didn't really know what she was doing. Arranged to give her a trial two days later.In the meantime asked Maid2Clean for references only to be told that they don't provide them due to GDPR regulations.The cleaner didn't show up on the pre-agreed day and we received no communication from her or the company to tell us that there had been an issue, she was running late etc. Waited two hours and then cancelled the ridiculously expensive monthly standing order to the company (for doing what I ask myself?) and took advantage of my consumer rights to cancel the contract within the 14 day calling off period. The whole process felt amateurish with a clear lack of care for the customer (or the cleaner?!). We have now gone with a more reputable company and the whole experience so far has been a far more professional and personal one. More...
