Dietitians are experts in the complex science of food and nutrition. They are the only qualified and legally regulated nutrition professionals who assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems both for healthy and sick individuals and at a wider public-health level.
As a Dietitian, with over 15 years experience, I specialise in using behavioural change approaches to support people to manage their weight by guiding them to make the right dietary choices, correctly tailored to their individual lifestyle, nutrition and wellbeing.
Some of the other areas I have practiced are nutritional deficiencies, pregnancy nutrition, malnutrition, impaired glucose tolerance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, polycystic ovarian syndrome, cholesterol lowering and heart health, and some gut disorders.
I am passionate about food and improving lives through good nutrition and supporting a sensible and healthy relationship with what we eat. My philosophy is that you are what you eat and that it is possible to lead a healthy lifestyle by employing a balanced approach to food and nutrition and I work creatively to provide practical dietary advice for real people to enjoy everyday life.
I am committed to helping people understand how the food they eat affects health and wellbeing. Put simply, I help you to understand how your body responds to the food you eat by making nutritional science easy to understand.
