I would highly recommend Terri at Lucky Pets. A business set up out of the love for her own animals by someone who has a wealth of knowledge with a wide variety of animals from snakes, to horses to dogs. I started sending my Frenchie to her in May since then he’s met a multitude of different dogs, people, cats and recently horses and ponies. This real life exposure cannot be underestimated as it makes him comfortable and calm in different environments. He shakes with excitement when Terri arrives, doesn’t look back and is happy and tired when he gets home. I get photos, videos and updates when he attends and a debrief when he’s dropped off and I know he’s very much treated as one of their own and is seen as a huge part of their family. Terri was excellent with our two dogs for the week she stayed at ours,especially one being a very large breed who can be scared of strangers in the house, but they loved her to bits, she know her stuff on dogs with no problems at all, they had a lovely holiday while we was away, with games, treats, cuddles and plenty of walks. . couldn't ask for a better service, and was lovely to come home too, this is the first time we have had a dog sitter, so will definitely be using terri again. carm and patience girl, who looked after our house and dogs with care and love..not only that we got some fantastic photos of our dogs while we was away from terri..can't Thankyou enough. ❤️ More...

I'm probably the most difficult customer Terri could have (I run my own dog boarding business), I'm super fussy when it comes to who we use to look after our own dogs but Terri is simply amazing! The dogs love her, they are not only well cared for but actively engaged. This isn't someone that is going to just pitch up and be in your home while your away. Over the last six months, Terri has helped with moving my 2 dogs to a new house, to travel in the car and most of all help Toby and us get over the loss of his brother Leo. Her service and knowledge are second to none. Toby and I will definitely be using Terri in the future. He gets so excited when she comes to pick him up and we always get photos or videos. We had our first holiday this year for a very long time, which we had been putting off because of not wanting to leave our dog Alfie. Terri Symonds, was recommended to us and came to our house to meet Alfie. It was instantly clear she is a natural dog loving person and we knew there and then that we would be happy to leave Alfie in Terri's care. During our holiday, Terri kept us updated on how happy Alfie was, sent us pictures and even video clips of him playing. This made our holiday more enjoyable. I know she's family but my dog loves going on adventures with her aunty Terri. She pops in and sees her on a weekly basis and enjoys the walks and brain games if it's horrible weather. Always happy after a day with her Aunty. What do you love most about your job?
The contact with so many wonderful characters, each pet with their own personality that makes them who they are. I love getting to know them and being able to care for them, go on adventures with them and playing with them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked with dogs for over 6 years, starting with the rehabilitation of a retired Greyhound and then starting a wonderful job at a canine day care centre where I worked with packs of 40 dogs alongside a team. I also have experience with cats, horses, reptiles, small mammals and birds. My love for animals of all kind and a wish to grow inspired me to start my business and do that which I love.
Dog Walking
One hour long. With or without other dogs. Hour can be personalised, for example half hour of walking with half hour of brain games and play mat. Can be made into social hour, getting you dog out of the house and stimulated in new environments.
Pet Sitting
Takes place in pets home. Overnight stay with them if needed or daily visits. Care involves cleaning out of enclosures, daily grooming needs being met, playtime/activities and lots of cuddles. Walks for dogs included in the sitting.
Pop in visits
Company, administering medication, feeding your pet, playtime, cuddles and care while you are out for the day or at work.
Pet Transport
Transport to appointments, pick up from locations to take home or pick up from home to bring to you.
