Paul from loftmasters put us at ease from his initial visit, he explained the procedure advising he would walk us through the whole process one step at a time. Paul and his team of professionals work extremely hard and the work is completed to a high standard. As good as his word Paul kept us informed at every stage of the job showing us his work as the job progressed.Paul also undertood some extra work on our behalf with no complaints. We contacted Loft Masters (Essex) Ltd as one of several potential contractors for a skylight job. The initial quotation was very competitive and we were also impressed by their high level of technical confidence in working around a couple of physical limitations in our loft. The job was completed in about five full work days (over the space of a couple of weeks or so because of other commitments we had) and the result is really good. Yes, we'd recommend them. More...

We moved into a house where the existing loft conversion had no certification and the only access was via dangerous space-saving stairs. It was the consensus of a few local builders that we would need to knock down a few walls and lose a bedroom and loft space in order to get stairs installed. We felt there must be another way.Then we happened upon Loft Masters who agreed a no-compromise design was totally achievable.They worked to a very high standard, being tidy and courteous and with excellent time-keeping. At every point through the process they were clear about what stage we were at and what work needed to be completed next.We threw a bit of extra work into the mix by deciding to renovate a couple of bedrooms. Loft Masters didn’t quibble once. The results are fantastic in all rooms, giving us the house we wanted for a very reasonable price.We'll definitely be using Loft Masters again on a bigger upcoming extension project. Our experience of Loft Masters Essex Ltd is very good. Paul Polkinghorn, the director, has a bank of experienced specialist tradesmen, designers and other professionals to call on in addition to his skills and experience as a general builder. He is an excellent project manager ensuring that a build goes smoothly whilst keeping the customer informed to keep disturbance to a minimum. Complications generated by third parties are also managed well to keep the project on track. I wanted a loft conversion done so I had a look on Loft Masters website. They had good reviews so I asked Paul to come round and discuss the project and offer me a quote. I was happy with the quote he offered me and we arranged a date for the project to start. Loft Masters are a very professional company and their work is outstanding. I wanted a summer house at the bottom of the garden for entertaining. Loft Masters Essex not only did a fantastic job but provided me with great ideas along the way. Their work is first class and they are always very thorough, cleaning up along the way so there is minimal disruption. They are professional at all times and have a great work ethic. It is not only a summer house but a great room for socialising all year round, with TV, music, Internet, special lighting and heating. I really love the bi fold doors which are an amazing feature.
